We recently spent the night in this gorgeous, boutique style hotel. We had a package to collect from Melbourne and drove over from country SA. As we have six children, ranging from 19 to 3 years of age it was a special treat for us.
First impressions were spectacular. The grounds were well maintained, the lobby and buildings very neat and tidy.
The room was gorgeous and huge! House keeping had kindly left the air con on which was much appreciated on the hot and sticky day.
A nearby shopping centre has a handy range of shops and we had chicken dumplings from the noodle bar, they were fabulous.
A few small things spoilt our stay. The lavatory had a strong scented odour, possibly an automated deodoriser? I tried keeping the door shut but unfortunately it triggered a migraine. Very upsetting on our first child free night since birthing the last.
The bed was so comfortable with fresh quality linen but the pillows were so plump they were impossible to sleep on. Please note, it was late we we discovered this so we did not ring reception.
The bath was so relaxing and big enough for two to comfortably sit and chat. The bathroom was elegant and felt like it should be in a bridal suite.
The room was incredibly quiet for being on the road side.
I would still absolutely recommend this lovely establishment and would stay again but would need to see if the deodoriser could be turned off.
Thank you for our...
Read moreThis hotel is well ma intended and clea and the spa suite exceeds expectations and is reasonably priced. However, unfortunately fot out particular stay this is where the positive commebts end! During our stay the fire alarm went off. We had to evacuate the building and stand outside in the cold in our pjs with other guests for 20-30 mins. This experience for is was made worse as we had our 6 week old newborn with is and this alarm was particularly distressing for him. Although this was a false alarm and we understand that it is not the staffs fault there were no staff on board at the time to advise of situation or explain or apologise. We also did not receive an apology for the inconvenience when we checked out. The information booklet in Room stated that breakfast is served on a day until 11am however we arrived at 10.40 and they wouldn't even serve us a hot beverage! The hotel leisure centre/ pool was also not available to hotel guests until 12.30pm due to public swimming lessons at which times guests have already had to check out and this info wa not communicated to us at check in even though we enquirer with receptionist if there was a pool. Overall an unsatisfactory stay for our family on that particular occasion! However this may not be the experience of everyone and different staff may have better customer service and...
