I see a lot of positive reviews about the shop, that were probably writen some time ago.

My last few experinces with the shop are: Almost every time burrata soft cheese is faul, expiry date is good, but the chesse is rotten. Thrown away. Beef steaks - some are good, most of them are from very old meat, you can taste it even after bbq-uing. Thrown away. Please take notice of the “eye fillet” that they are selling? I have never seen an eye fillet having 20 cm in diameter. If it’s not of a bison. Almost every time you go through the shop you find at least one item that has an expired “use by date”. I know, why do you go there? We were used to it, but long time ago changed the market, going there from time to time.

I deliberately don’t buy my fresh foods from woolies so i can buy it from here , but the last three times i’ve been treated like a thief at the checkout , everyone surrounding me checking my bags and asking for receipts for things in my bag i bought from woollies and they don’t sell these items??? especially that old lady with the long hair , very rude , needs training in customer service.. I walk there so i can’t leave my bags in a car after every shop i visit.. i spend about a thousand a month in this shop but never again.. thanks for ruining my...

I can’t believe what I am reading. My family have been shopping here for over 10 years and have never had a problem. The produce has always been top quality. The meat poultry fruit and veg. Number 1. Not to mention everything else including the deli. And as for the family that run the store can not fault any one of them. The staff are friendly aswell. I will always keep shopping at Lakes Fresh.
