Kacha Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Slow and rude service, from what I believe is the daughter, cause the older lady was more prompt and nicer and apologising for the wait and not getting wine glasses (cause of the lack of the younger girl rude and slow as anything, obviously doesn't want to work), the second star for the older lady cause she was nice and had to pick up the pieces. Entree wasn't bad, but the green curry was not proper green curry, was just liquid and oil, no flavour, not enough rice, like other Thai I've been has a entire bucket and you just help yourself. Small servings, and I know they don't usually have huge servings, but this one was very small and not properly done. Long service. Maybe will try again one day, but been to better Thai. So probably won't again. Am a local. Should of went for pizza next door or somewhere else. Don't usually dine out. But felt like something with Thai flavours and some spice and didn't receive that here. Make a nicer green curry at home. Very dissapointed in what I received here.

Ooh the food is fresh and delicious and the staff were great. The location is clean and inviting the only issue was the birthday song, the restaurant plays a birthday song and they didnt play it for our group of 8 when they bought the cake, so we asked them to please play it. When it played it wasn't as loud as we normally hear it, we could just hear it. However later in the evening there was another group that celebrated a birthday and the song was played so loud the whole restaurant turned to see who's birthday it was; this was the only inconsistent thing during the night. I have come here multiple times and occasionally the food I order is ok but most of the time it is excessively sweet. I understand that Thai is Asian food and that in Asian cuisine they like to balance sweet with sour and salt, but to me there is no balance and the scales are forever tipped towards sweet. Kacha Thai? More like Kacha Diabetes.
