Leichhardt Accommodation — Hotel in Mornington

I stayed here whilst travelling through Mount Isa with two dogs. It is a brilliant set up. They allow dogs in the room. The rooms are well equipped clean and tidy. At the back is a beautiful lawn area that has an outside gym barbecue area, seating area and space to throw a frisbee and let the dogs run about. As long as they’re not a nuisance they can be off leash. At the front and off to one side is another grass area that has lighting for the dogs to have a pit stop at night before bedtime. Breakfast is included in the dining area with a great selection of food to cater for everybody. I didn’t use it but there is a pool that looked fabulous. I called around all the accommodation parks in Mt Isa at about 11pm on a monday night and Glen from leichardt accommodation was not only the only place that answered the phone, but he was also very happy to help with a room. All the staff are amazing and the facilities are upto the highest standard. The location and grounds are great and everybody is always willing to help with anything you need, and the food, the food was amazing in its own right. If I could give 10 stars I would, I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip through mt Isa.

Booked the place thinking it was a motel but was mistaken. As the name suggests it's more of rented accommodation for miners and tradies. Found it a little too small for the price. It's about 4m x 5m with attached bathroom. It's quite well equipped with a TV, wardrobe, fridge, cutlery, microwave, kettle and a sink. The compound also has a gym, pool and a coin operated laundry room. The buffet breakfast provided is probably the best you can get in Mt. Isa. The only problem is that it is from 5am to 8am.
