The Coffee Club Café - Mt Isa — Restaurant in Queensland

I was there earlier today while it wasn't busy. The waitresses could see that my family and I had walked in while they were standing talking to each other and didn't come over to greet us to ask us where we would like to sit and offer us a menu. I had to find the menu's myself then sat down right near where the workers were chatting and they still didn't greet us. Then we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken at the table. Although another time we have been there we got told that we couldn't order at the counter and that it is table service. The waitress we had didn't seem to be listening properly when we ordered as we kept having to repeat ourselves. Then when the food came out to us there wasn't everything that we ordered. My partners food was burnt and yesterday he got given the complete wrong meal both burnt. Also the coffee was warm not hot so it went cold fast. I have worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years now and I have never had service this bad while eating out in my own time. The manager needs to explain things better to the workers or new workers hired that understand what table service...

We thought we'd give the coffee club another try after getting very ordinary meals and service several months prior. We often eat at the establishment across the road. The order for drinks was taken quickly (a coffee and a chocolate milkshake) but the drinks took a long time to be brought to the table. The order for for food was given when the drinks were delivered and took almost 40 minutes to come out. We ordered a cheese burger and a schnitzel. The place wasn't too busy. When the food finally arrived, they gave us a chicken schnitzel sandwich cut in half. It wasn't what I ordered but I could live with that mistake. When I asked about the burger, I was informed that the only thing on the order was the sandwich ( which I didn't order). The food was good. No complaints there. l like to come here when l come to mt Isa. We where all very disappointed in the cleanliness and service the tables where left for a long time after people left there was birds making an awful mess all over the ground and the tables. Even after people where seated at the tables when there was dirty dishes on them the tables whete not cleared. We had four staff come to our table while there were dirty dishes on the table and they never bothered to clear them away. We got our coffees and had to ask them to take the previous customers dishes away. The tables around us had the same problem. I know you where busy but it was very disappointing.
