I had the pleasure of staying at The Birches for both the forward and return journeys of my trip to Melbourne.|Was greeted by Ken.|The property is just out of the main city street opposite some playing fields.|Before you enter the property you look at the amazing garden. It is so lush and green. A testament to the care and nurture it has received. |Ken showed me to my room. I have to say, I don't think I have ever seen a room so well presented, even the way the bed is made is a work of art. The room had a separate little lounge, with TV and the bathroom was spotless. It came complete with shampoo, body wash and conditioner. |The room itself is fully airconditioned, it has louver window shades that let in all the light you could wish for and at night none at all for a wonderful nights sleep.|On entry Ken offered me tea, about 6 different varieties, or coffee. They use their own special coffee beans and the blend is just perfect. I passed the rest of the evening chatting to my hosts. A wonderful way to wind down after a long days drive.||Awoke the next morning after a wonderful nights sleep. The beds are very comfortable. Showered and then had breakfast which is included. My omelette was seriously a work of art and tasted as though it had been made in a two hatted French Restaurant, The eggs were so soft and fluffy. The entire experience was just perfect. I booked for my return journey immediately. When you find the perfect place why...

Read moreFrom the moment we arrived at The Birches B & B, in Taree, we were encouraged to make ourselves right at home. The beautiful house and gardens were aesthetically remarkable and comfortable, with lots of high quality touches to indulge ourselves with. Obviously, Ken and Mark have put a lot of thought into making their guests feel relaxed and catered for. After settling in, we were offered a welcome drink and it was great to unwind and share interesting conversation around the table, with our hosts and the other guests. In the morning, (at our nominated time), Ken made a restaurant quality breakfast with real coffee, (or tea, if you preferred). Absolutely scrumptious! The whole experience was extraordinary value. Thank you Ken and Mark for a fabulous stay and your...
