Thanks Beatty lodge for making semester two at UWA the worst experience ever and taking me from high distinction in the first semester to deferred exams .
I told UWA guild about my experience also and the medical centre and the caps counselling .
The PhD student that moved in from the UK moved straight out again , I wonder why huh?
This place stinks Noone does the dishes it's noisy at night . If you want to fail your course live in a place like this that doesn't care about the tenants sleep . Also the Australian cleaning lady made fun of my clothing when I dressed nice one day . Mocked me and would give me scowling looks whenever she saw me in the kitchen .
There was a very very noisy rude domineering Indonesian student group from phenix who never did there dishes and left noodle wrappers and rubbish all over the tables and who screamed and shouted and laughed for months until 2-3 am and the noise carried through the entire place and my studies were really badly affected .
The management didn't take it seriously for months .
They also didnt fix the toilet that kept flushing all night with a stuck button or something for months and months as their was a lunatic guy who would drink whole bottle of red wine and shout outside my bedroom for months at night too and they did nothing .
Not for a serious science student . I even told them I had to defer my exams due to the noise and they didn't apologise . The manager is awful the rules are fake and only there for show .there did nothing when the Indian guy group brought all their friends into the kitchen dining room one night and then those guys would shout on return in the carpark at night at 1 am - the night managers are often asleep and do nothing .
The tenants are all unhappy that I talked to telling me they are stuck there due to contract . Also they didn't give all my bond back over me taking basket to the reception instead of leaving it in my room .
The room mate I had when I first moved in told me they keep one guys full bond when they kicked him out and other people on housing page on Facebook told me another horror story about the place .
Don't stay here .also if your an international school be warned the rooms and carpets stink and everyone eats and drinks in their rooms . Some people don't shower .
As for phoenix school they are so useless I had to tutor one student at the hostel english to help him because the teachers wouldn't . I found meat on the floors that had been there for two days and bones in the drain in the kitchen . People left rubbish everywhere and spilt soy sauce all through the kitchen . Due to all the filth I found a mouse in my room . They don't steam clean the carpets or replace anything there would be years of dropped food .
Needs a new manager someone with people skills and who actually cares about the place and who doesn't complain about everything she has to do and who is competent at her job .
Totally not worth the rent price charged
I know they will reply back and try to defend themselves but nothing can change the way I was treated and not taken seriously before I had to defend myself from the horrible Indonesian group from Phoenix that thankfully left just before I did and I had a few peaceful night's sleep before moving out.
But here's the kicker the manageress will act like she cares but then they do nothing . She will also want YOUR time to discuss things and won't talk over the phone- so then you have to waste study time and your time and discussing something that she won't resolve and that she doesn't care about anyway . So don't bother complaining and don't bother moving your suitcases in and jepordising your studies and...
Read moreI have had the most amazing experience in this lodge in the past two months. I had initially planned to stay for a few weeks but I extended my stay for almost two months as I have gotten most of my research work done in the room provided to me, and at the backyard space. I can't thank our manager (Skye) enough for her support throughout my stay.
Let me take you through the most amazing aspects of the lodge that appealed to me:
First off, let me say that the location of this lodge is absolutely spot-on. It's the perfect blend of urban and natural, with the convenience of being close to the city while still surrounded by fresh air and stunning outdoor scenery with absolute peace. You really can't beat the location, especially if you're looking for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The rooms are more than adequate - they're cozy, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the amenities you could need. Whether you're staying for a night or for two months, you'll feel right at home in these rooms. And let's not forget about the stunning outdoor space. The lodge is surrounded by acres of natural beauty, perfect for taking a leisurely stroll or just sitting back and enjoying the fresh air. The grocery stores and other convenience stores are at a mere 10 mins walking distance.
Now, let's talk about the manager. Skye is an absolute gem - friendly, easy-going, and always quick to understand situations and offer solutions. Infact, the efficiency of all the lodge staff is unparalleled, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and well taken care of. You can tell that they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in their work.
Overall, I can't recommend this lodge highly enough. From the amazing location to the cozy rooms and stunning outdoor space, it's the perfect place to unwind and recharge. And with a manager like the one that I have described, you'll be in good hands from start to finish. So if you're looking for a peaceful retreat that offers both comfort and natural beauty, this lodge is the perfect...
