A MOTHER DAY BLUNDER. Apparently usually has high ratings. My son thought he'd take me here, we sat at a lovely 2 seated table near the entrance. 2 big longer tables closer to the corner curbing, stayed empty the whole entire time we were there. All the other tables full. Busy busy. Maybe too busy to remember this mother on mothers day. . I.Started with Coffee Almond Milk cappuccino and another My son got his breakfast, mmmm I said They have forgotten my order.👋🏻 hello I'm still waiting for mine. My son offered some of his, lovely dish which was beautiful. So enough is enough, my son went in and then about 5 minutes later a waitress came out and many apologies and offered complimentary coffee so we ordered that and the coffee grinder broke down, made a big racketting noise. Poor buggers it just wasn't there day. So this time a young man came out he said what about a pot of lovely special tea, ok I said. Then a wee while later finally, got my big breakky.. If the waitress didn't try to retract on the drink my son asked for to be included in the complimentary. And tried to say they squeezed us in at the last minute, remember that empty table, yeah but No not excepting that. By this time of me finishing my dish, people where leaving from breakky/brunch and others coming in for Lunch. So you say, she won't be back, but I will go back and try them again, my son said the owner is a fabulous chef and usually comes out, but he didn't this time, something was a miss this time he said. Food was lovely. I'll get that lovel tomato sauce almost Bologna type breakky dish with eggs in it, so nice. 2.5 stars this visit, I'll go back so they can shoe me what everyone goes on about....

This was a difficult one to review. Overall I'd give it 2 stars, but the coffee was 5/5 so rather than bring down their average rating let's just say 5 stars if you're getting a takeaway coffee.

5/5 coffee - among one of the best coffees in Perth 3/5 chocolate danish - it was a bit stale, not fresh and flakey as you would expect 3/5 mushroom soup - Get this if you're craving a French onion soup, but it didn't taste like mushroom soup and was quite acidic 1/5 chilli crab linguine - Linguine was perfectly cooked, but the flavours were unbalanced with the overwhelming flavour being a very sour tomato paste that overpowered everything. Disappointing at $29. 3/5 service - staff were quite friendly when you managed to catch one, but seemed confused and disorganised and our experience wasn't good overall 2/5 bathrooms - obvious effort has gone into decorating the bathrooms and they could be so nice, but the lighting was so dim it was almost pitch dark. Toilet seat has not been properly installed so the rim is exposed. Additional rolls are located in a separate "room" so are out of reach when you need them. Finally, to reach the bathroom you need to squeeze through a rather small gap between two large tables of other customers, which isn't pleasant for anyone.

Overall I wouldn't dine here for brunch again, but would pick up a takeaway coffee if we're in the area. Other tables seemed to greatly enjoy their high tea towers so that might...

High Tea at West End Deli!! I was greeted by a lovely man with a french accent. He couldn’t have been more accommodating particularly with an unusual dietary requirement I had noted in the booking. He reconfirmed the requirement with me without any prompting and then again once my guest arrived. The food was beautiful, tasty and filling. I don’t usually like very fancy high teas with canapés that have ingredients that are unusual, but this wasn’t the case, plenty of lovely rolls and sandwiches with crumbed chicken and other lovely delights. The desserts were equally as yum. The only drawback was that another female waitress just came over while I was eating and picked up my plate to take away. It was not finished and to be honest the look on her face when I asked for it back, made me think that she cleared it by accident without even thinking. She then explained the kitchen closes at 3pm and needed to clear the food and we were welcome to take it home. That was only a little annoying as I wasn’t aware and would have loved to stay longer but will...

A good place to go for lunch. I ordered the Fried Spicy Chicken Waffle. Cost 21 dollars. The combination of fried chicken, sliced chillies and syrup worked well. My son had Scrambled Eggs on Toast as usual. This one was one of the better cooked ones. Very good value at 12 dollars. My daughter had the Kid's Ham and Cheese Omelette. This was probably the standout. Well cooked. 11 dollars. Wife got a Portuguese Escargot (piece of bread) from the counter. Coffee here is good
