Residence AlpenHeart — Hotel in Bad Gastein

I stayed here only one night but I felt really comfortable, staff was friendly and attentive, very professional, room was clean, breakfast was good. ||I liked their back yard, because it really feels like being at home or at friends house. ||I was upgraded to a nicer room with balcony, which I always really appreciate, and I was alloweed to check in earlier, since the room was ready. This are all little perks, that make a difference between average and good hotel.||||+ attentive staff||+ close to the centre and train station ||+ clean rooms||+ comfy beds and pillows||+ big balcony||+ nice back yard||+ good breakfast ||+ lovely bar||||- maybe it's a bit loud because of train, but i did sleep with open doors, and as I could see most of the hotels are close to rails, so it is hard to avoid it||||I will probably stay again...

Absolutely disappointing hotel with fake photos from management at booking.com and hotel website.||||For your 150€ per night you will receive:||||-13m room instead of 22m as promised ||-No fridge||-No elevator||-No ventilation at all and no conditioner||-Water on the floor after each time you go to the shower and no help to resolve this problem||||-No telephone (when you have a question or you need smth you have to go down 3 levels by foot)||||And bonus: when hotel is fully booked, the breakfast is rather good, but don't be surprised when one day you will see milk, flakes, cheese and sausages only. The answer of the hotel team is: it is not necessary for us to prepare a huge breakfast as we have 5 rooms only at the moment.||||For 150€ per night in Bad Gastein my recommendation to avoid this hotel and find...

OK, first the accomodation. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use a fresh coating, but they are clean and fresh! The bar and buffet area are more modern. The buffet was way better then expected and daily fresh.

Now the best part, the STAFF. At the time of our stay, this place was mainly runned by 2 girls. Both did a crazy good job at running this place and giving you as a guest a warm and welcome feeling. This place won't be the same without these 2. Give them a raise! Oh and they sure know how to make an Aperol Spritz!

I'm not sure how this area performs in the winter. I'm not sure I would return for a summer hike but if this area had more to offer, I would without doubt come back...
