Dorfblick — Hotel in Gerlos

This place was really heaven on earth. As we got there, we were greeted by a very friendly Renate who immediately made us feel at home. We were impressed by the quality of the pension: like a high quality hotel with a very personal touch. We loved the interior décor which was a modern combination of white and pinewood, and terracotta tiling. The house is set up on the hill away from the main road so our room was tranquil and offered us a stunning view of the surrounding mountains from not only our very clean room but also the sundeck on the roof. We took advantage of this after using their nice sauna in the lower ground floor which you could easily access with the lift. The house has its own underground garage so parking was no problem. The delicious and generous breakfast is just terrific, with fresh fruit salad, muesli, bread rolls, eggs and coffee. There are plenty of varied restaurants nearby, so eating out is no problem in the evening. It is unusual that we visited a ski resort in the summer. But Gerlos has the great advantage that it offers plenty to do so that we were fully occupied for our fortnights holiday. There are cable cars nearby which we went up the mountain with then walked down. We also cycled round the local hydro dams at Duriassboden and at Finkenberg. Absolutely gorgeous gasthaus! The rooms have a upscale modern Alpen decor. The host is so kind. He made me an early breakfast, lent me a tea kettle and changed my room to one with a balcony. Na toto ubytování jsem narazil vlastně náhodou a vzhledem k velmi příznivé ceně jsem neměl přehnaná očekávání. O to milejší bylo překvapení hned při první komunikaci – rezervace proběhla rychle, vstřícně a naprosto bez problémů.

Dům je krásný, prostorný a perfektně udržovaný – vypadá téměř jako nový. Interiéry jsou čisté, vzdušné a působí velmi útulně. K dispozici je výtah, pohodlné parkování a na střeše krásná terasa, kam se rovněž dostanete výtahem.

Paní Renata se o své hosty stará s maximální péčí a vytváří příjemnou rodinnou atmosféru, díky které se tu člověk cítí opravdu vítaný. Snídaně jsou pestré, chutné a nenapadá mě nic, co by mi chybělo.
