If I could rate it higher, I would. This was by far not just the best place we have stayed for a winter holiday, but any holiday.||I'll try to break down why it was so fantastic.||Check-in|On arrival you walk in to a beautifully designed foyer and greeted by the warm and friendly reception team. The check-in process was smooth, everything we needed to know about our stay was clearly explained to us, given a document to refer back to in case we forgot anything and handed our room keys.||The room|We booked the double superior room with bathtub but we were very kindly upgraded to the large double with bathtub and separate shower. The room was the one advertised on their website which you can do a 360° view of. I'm not sure the 360° does it justice, the space is just fantastic and in keeping with the rest of the hotel, very nicely designed and meticulously cleaned. If I had to nit pick, there wasn't any tea or coffee making facilities in the room but that really didn't detract from our experience.||The ski lockers|No expense spared here, these were fantastic. Huge open space so you're not fighting for space when all the guests are trying to get their boots on in the morning. The individual lockers themselves were very modern with plenty of space for all your gear and well ventilated with a mild heat. Hanging space in a pull out wardrobe for jackets and salopettes, boot rack, glove rack, helmet rack and space for skis/snowboard. And a vanity mirror just to make sure you're looking on point before you head out and to remind you what an exhausting day you've had when you come back 😅.||The spa|Saunas galore, indoor therapy pool which goes to a heated outdoor large pool. Hot tubs, Scandi sauna outside, and again exceptionally clean.||The restaurant|The food is elegant, delicious and beautifully presented. At dinner, 3 courses are freshly prepared and served to you and there is also a fantastic buffet which is kept fresh at all times. At breakfast the chef makes omelettes to order, there is a huge selection of fresh breads, salads, hot and cold meats, beans, scrambled egg, I could go on, it's just vast. How they keep everything so fresh on such a vast selection is beyond me but they do it very well.||The bar|For a huge hotel, the bar is really cosy which makes for a great atmosphere. You can gather round the bar for a more lively atmosphere or head out in to the larger space behind the bar for a quieter, more relaxed environment. The selection of drinks is huge and if it's not on the list the knowledgeable bar staff will make it for you.||The staff|Everyone greeted us with a warm and friendly smile. Even in the interactions between the staff they all looked like they were having fun and enjoying working there. It made for a really enjoyable environment to be in.||Summary|We've stayed in a lot of hotels, chalets and air bnb's in the 15 years we have been together. I find that the catered options often try to do everything but without a specific focus, often do all of it but not particularly well. You get all the benefits of staying at a large hotel in terms of facilities but maintains the intimate and personal service of a small chalet. This place delivers on all fronts, a really rare find which is why we have rebooked for next year without hesitation. ||Special mentions for Michael & Max on the bar and Nikolai in the restaurant. These 3 really made our stay and we look forward to seeing you next year!||Thank you to all at the hotel for a...
Read moreThe hotel package came with a joker card and a free bus card which allowed you to explore the 8 attractions including cable cars in the area and free regional public transports during summer months. ||Central location with a short walk to cable cars, centre and bus station to Zell-am-See and Interglemm. Nice views at hotel's surroundings. Hotel itself is modern and tastefully decorated with Tom Dixons' Melt Pendant ceiling lights all around lobby and bar as well as coffee machine, SMEG fridge & organic teabags in our room which gave a subtle hint of luxury but not in your face. ||Great facilities such as large swimming pool, indoor and outdoor sauna room and jacuzzi pools which were perfect for a rainy day.||Room was spacious. We were allocated to the the new wing with a big balcony with sun-lounges and chairs overlooking the cable car, hotel's swimming pool and the valley. We spent hours to enjoy our coffee every mornings. Big Bathroom with bathtub and shower enclosure and a separate toilet. Underfloor heating , however, it was a bit warm for us in summer months. We just opened the balcony door.||Great food & drinks. Breakfast and lunch were served to late which was brillant. We were able to have something to eat after walking after 3pm. ||Staff were cheerful, attentive, helpful, polite and professional. Manager and the owner were always around to greet and chat with guests. We loved the hotel dog Lucy. Reception staff Laura & Petro always greeted you with a smile. Services everywhere in the hotel were excellent. Nothing was a hassle. Our waiter (the younger one) always remembered our drinks and provided a top-notch waiting service in a calm and professional manner despite there were a lot of guests to look after. The young chef showed a passion for what he was doing and his food was always cooked to perfection and very tasty. We particularly liked the idea of cooking smaller portion in the buffet tables to keep food fresh and not to waste in the bin.||Evening entertainment was limited but the singer was very good.||We enjoyed the laid-back, relaxing and liberal atmosphere in this hotel. Guests seem to be allowed to do what they like and not too many rules being imposed. ||There was only one minor issue If I am trying to be picky was a slight change in the outdoor sauna room. 1) allows the temperature of both shower taps to be adjustable as current temperature were too hot for a shower and no cold water means no cold plunge after each sauna's session 2) installed a distilled water dispenser or leave some bottled water nearby as it was too far to walk to get a drink especially when it was raining 3) maybe store the pile of sunlounge cushions in the sauna room somewhere else when it was raining as they blocked the entrance and the hangers.||All in all, we had a wonderful 10 night's stay and we wish we had booked for a longer stay. We could stay here...
