We stayed here for 6 nights in the Suite Wildenk2. Spacious, heated bathroom floors and comfy beds. The deck that overlooked the pool and the valley was nice as well. Indoor pool and outdoor pool with jets were very welcoming on the body. Saunas were available too. Our nights consisted of the half-board which included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast pleases everyone from any nationality, a wide range of foods. Each dinner was magnificent and worth the stay. Each night was different and you chose your dinner the night before so there were no surprises. There was another menu if you wanted to upcharge for steaks or seafood items, which we did for our last night. Tobi's team is spot on and the details show. It's fine dining every night. Don't get confused w The BlackBox and your regular dining. The BlackBox is for outside guests. The wine selections are there on the menu, or the staff's recommendations are spot on too. I can't recall the bartenders name, short blonde hair, funny guy and he always had a great wine to go with dinner. there is a wine cellar room you can select a wine from. The restaurant's deck is a nice place to relax and chill before dinner. They have blankets and heaters outside. The location is prime real estate... across from one of the gondolas and great apre ski bars a few feet away. The ski bus is only 10min walk. Also, you are provided a ski/snowboard locker and an elevator that takes you up to the street to start your day; very convenient. The pool closes at 8pm so no one is splashing around late at night. Also, there's a phone near the inside pool that you can call and they will bring drinks down to you. Overall, Kohlmais is a 10/10 from start to finish. Everyone involved made our stay relaxing and tress free. I think maybe the owner came out and greeted everyone at one point during dinner. You def know where your money went, but worth every penny. They will take care of you here.

We had the most incredible week stay at Das Kohlmais. The staff went above and beyond to make it such a pleasant stay, particularly Hannah and Sophie, who looked after us during most of our meals, and Tom who was always around to help and making some delicious cocktails. They were professional but we also had a good laugh with them. Secondly, the food, an important part of a holiday for us because of our love for good food! Tobi and his second hand man (the ideas guy who we didn’t get his name!) curated the most interesting menus every day that we looked forward to so much. A selection of the dishes we have included pictures of, but couldn’t do justice for how delicious they tasted, thank you to the whole team in the kitchen. We couldn’t leave without trying the sushi on the Friday, a huge recommendation for anyone staying here. The hotel has such a relaxed environment, with a gorgeous bar to have a pre-dinner drink. And lastly, the spa! The best spa we have had at any ski resort we’ve been to. The outdoor pool was perfectly warm, with a lovely view down the valley. The sauna was also the perfect temperature which can be hard to find! Overall this was the best experience we have had at any ski resort across Austria and France and we have been to over 20, we don’t have a single comment or complaint! Thank you to the whole Das Kohlmais team for making a ski trip so special for our family, we will cherish these memories forever and we will definitely be back!

I stayed here for 5 nights over New Year so my family and I could go skiing. I booked it last minute for a very reasonable price, other guests said they’d been coming for years. The booking was for half board, which meant that breakfast and dinner were included in the price, my bill at the end of the stay was for drinks only. The hotel is spotlessly clean, like you hadn’t realised other places were a bit grubby until you stay here. The food is some of the best I have had in a while, their signature puddings are works of art. (That cigar in the picture is a delicious pudding.) Everything is cooked to perfection, I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a Michelin star one day. The service is very warm and friendly. English OK. We had a modest room, fine for our needs. There is also a spa with pool, sauna, steam room, heat room and relaxing area. Some of the locals go naked in the sauna, pool a swimsuit is compulsory. I even spotted a table tennis table on the way out. If you are foody or wine lover it is an amazing choice. The dinners can last quite a long time for younger kids, so they seemed happy with people bringing toys and whatnot for the younger ones. The Ski area is across the road very short walk to begin skiing (3 lifts within 100m) and the skiing is grand.
