Easily the worst international hotel experience for my whole family, and we have had quite a few hotel experiences among us.||We knew this was a 3-star hotel (falsely advertised as 4-star on Booking.com) so knew breakfast would be average, room size would be smaller, etc. and that is fine.||But even what they promised, they could not deliver:||Rafael, the night shift receptionist, is the rudest hospitality staff I have ever encountered. I had confirmed via Booking.com that we would check in between 5-6 AM, and I had screenshots showing that the hotel had repeatedly confirmed this. But when we arrived, he told us that they had never confirmed this, and he shoved a paper toward me saying āno hotel rooms availableā in Azerbaijani. He said we would have to wait till 2 PM. Then he finally acknowledged that his manager did confirm an early check-in but nonchalantly said he could do nothing about it, offering no apology. After an exhausting overnight trip, we had to wait in the lobby for over 5 hours until his manager, Kamran, arrived. Kamran was helpful; he acknowledged that we should have been checked in early, and finally gave us 1 out of our 2 rooms. We had also asked for connecting rooms, which were not ready, and we later were moved to 2 rooms close to each other. (Iām not even sure if they have any connecting rooms.) Kamran also helped get us adapters and told us about local grocery stores.||Their pipes are damaged too. One day, we were only getting very hot water. The hotel staff came to check, dirtied our whole bathroom floor, only to say the matter would be resolved in the morning, and some of us were forced to shower in scalding hot water. The next day, a pipe burst spraying hot water throughout the whole bathroom. Thankfully, they fixed it in an hour, but we were scared to even use the bathroom afterward.||Cleanliness was subpar. Despite multiple reminders, housekeeping either did not come or only did part of their job (they often didnāt restock items and never vacuumed the floor). Only 1 of our 2 rooms had a kettle, that too dirty, and they didnāt replace it when asked. Comforters were mildly stained, and there were ants in the bathroom. We often had to ask multiple times before getting items restocked, and had to pick our battles about what we even asked them for.||Staff (except Rafael) were generally friendly, although some didnāt really understand English so was difficult to ask them for help.||Walls were thin, so when our neighbours were loud, we could hear their whole conversations. Wi-fi was spotty. They only gave one key per room which enabled electricity in the room, so if we left the room, our fridge would stop working too. Rooms were advertised as ānon-smokingā but were equipped with ash trays, so people definitely smoked there. One of our rooms consistently smelled like smoke even though the staff came to spray some air freshener and gave it to us to keep. AC filters hadnāt been cleaned in forever, and made the room smell.||They tried to compensate for our mistreatment during check in by canceling our Booking.com reservation and giving us $50 from Booking.comās commission back + giving us a free airport shuttle and a 2-hour late check out. ||But truthfully, if we knew how terrible this place would be, we would have paid double to go to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePros: The staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us an early check-in for a small additional fee. The location and room were satisfactory overall but read below!
Cons: One staff member asked us not to leave a negative review, even though we had already assured them that weād be honest in our feedback. Asking for favorable reviews can feel uncomfortable for guests and isnāt ideal. We mentioned that we had an upcoming flight, but they still requested an immediate review, which we declined as we were in a hurry.
The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property, but in my opinion, it could hardly be considered a 3-star hotel.
Our room was on the hotelās entrance side, near an auto wash station, resulting in constant, loud noise that made it nearly impossible to sleep. In our seven-hour stay, we could hardly sleep at all due to the lack of sound insulation. For anyone staying on that side, earplugs are a must.
Additionally, after posting this review on Booking, the hotel manager contacted me via WhatsApp asking to delete it, which felt unprofessional. I'll not add screenshots
We were initially quoted a certain price on WhatsApp, but we ended up paying more for a different room, despite...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, the location of the hotel is very safe. There was a lot of variety at breakfast. But the desserts may have been a bit too much. Because we are not used to so many desserts in our own countryš . But it is necessary to appreciate the chef. |The fact that the restaurant in the hotel only works for breakfast may be a minus. Because I had to order food from outside every evening and it could be late. The sockets in the rooms were type-f. But you can easily borrow it from the reception. |The staff was very friendly. I was usually at the hotel in the evenings. The staff always do their best by offering something. They even gave me a wine as a gift. I especially thank Tahir and the night reception for this. My suggestion to those who will come to the hotel is to be friends with Tahir, he will solve all your problems in 5 minutes. I have been in this sector for a long time and I can easily say that I wish success to Tahir and the boy with glasses who...
