Xəzər Restaurant — Restaurant in Baku City

The place is very atmospheric in a great way. Locals only. No menus, just talk to the waitress. I am not a local, but I had a great time; three days in a row actually. It starts with a very inviting entry. You go a few steps down in the old semi basement with arched ceilings of stone. Everything we tried was good and the prices are low. Do not expect much in terms of selection of wines, but whatever they had happened to be good. One disclaimer - I have no idea if they can speak English or not. Probably not. I would still recommend to go and use English translation on the phone. Just ask the waitress for some soup, salad, and the main course - whatever...

This is a very rustic place and if you want to try affordable, tasty food in Baku this is the place. We had our dinner thrice from this place. The owner is a very warm person. But there is no menu and you have to rely on google translate and the photos here on the google reviews for reference.
