Coral Bay Hotel & Resort — Hotel in Bahrain Island

Terrible experience. I booked a suite (Marecheal) for 3 days for my vacation expecting a comfortable stay but unfortunately things were unexpectedly very bad.

From the car parking area to the hotel, there wasn't any bell boy to help us with our luggage. We were expecting a calm stay but they had a very loud music most of the time. The washrooms are the scariest and craziest part. The hand flush was so hard to operate and when pressed the water speed is as force as jet and it will not just tear your skin but also blow you(not joke, it's a serious HSE issue) I had complianted about this several times in phone and also f2f with the receptionist and the maintenance guys but in vein.

I requested my suite to be cleaned and the plumbing issues to be fixed while we step out for a dinner and while returning back to the hotel, the receptionist confirmed with a smiling face (everything is fixed sir and handed over the key to us). Only to our surprise we realised it was a big joke, nothing was fixed or cleaned in our room.

Jacuzzi had only hot boiling water untill I called them to fix the issue.

There is no laundry bag and the locker safe didn't had any password. (See the standard operating procedure to operate Safe, it's as complicated as performing a critical surgery)

Totally terrible experience, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is willing to have pleasent stay.

Few staffs are unprofessionals, they forget what they commit until you call them 3-4 times reporting the issue.

Yesterday a few maintenance guys came to examine the issue and they committed to change our room, but they never came back or...

Nice place to relax and sunbathe by the pool which my wife enjoys. It is free for women and kids on the weekdays. It is not exactly a kid or family friendly place, but the staff there made us feel comfortable since we were regulars. But note that for men it is 10BD entrance. I came here with my wife and kids. Only I had to pay up 10BD. It is pricey entrance for the guys. Does not include any drinks either. Ladies and children get one and sometimes two free soft drinks. Towels available on site for free. Just got to keep a deposit which is refundable.

They have a kid size pool too, and big size too.

If you are visiting with family, I'd recommend you check the place out by yourself first and decide. Since some people wouldn't be comfortable. Also call in advance just to make sure there isn't a big event going on. In case of big events, children are...
