Hotel Purbani International is a well-known establishment in Dhaka, Bangladesh, offering a blend of modern amenities and traditional hospitality. Located in the heart of the city, it provides easy access to key business hubs and cultural landmarks, making it a convenient choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Pros:
Location: One of the hotel's biggest advantages is its central location. It is situated near important business districts, government offices, and shopping centers, making it ideal for business travelers.
Spacious Rooms: The rooms are fairly spacious, offering a comfortable environment with basic amenities like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV.
Service: The staff is generally attentive and polite, providing prompt service. They are known for being helpful and courteous, adding a personal touch to the stay.
Dining: The hotel's in-house restaurant offers a decent selection of Bangladeshi and international cuisine. The breakfast buffet, in particular, has a wide variety of options, which guests often appreciate.
Cons:
Outdated Decor: The hotel could benefit from some modernization. The decor and furnishings feel somewhat dated compared to newer hotels in Dhaka, which might not appeal to guests seeking a more contemporary experience.
Maintenance: Some guests have reported that certain facilities, such as plumbing and air conditioning, occasionally require maintenance, which can affect the overall comfort of the stay.
Noise Levels: Being located in a busy area, noise from the outside can sometimes filter into the rooms, especially during peak traffic hours.
Conclusion: Hotel Purbani International is a good choice for travelers who prioritize location and value a traditional style of hospitality. While it may not have the modern glitz of newer hotels, it compensates with spacious rooms, friendly service, and a convenient location. However, those seeking a more luxurious or contemporary experience might find it lacking in terms of decor...

It is around many restaurants, banks and plenty of shopping(street stalls).||2) Rooms||Rooms seem really bad. Super run down. Doors dun feel secure, shaky after closed and no lock from inside.||Beds are not comfortable, blankets seems old and was so worried about bed bugs.||Room is very good in size.(Purbani Floor room)||Rooms are not carpeted.||TV size is miserable. One big bottle of water is given daily.||No kettle, just a flask and 2 glass is available in the room. No coffee nor tea of any sort in the room.||Worst thing, there was a super dirty and used slippers in the room which seems to be there for the next guest to use! I asked for a another set and was given one rubber one which to me seems still like a used one.||3) Bath and Toilet||Quite Horrible, cannot enjoy shower. Amenities are limited to toothbrush, toothpaste(comes in a small travel pack) and a piece of soap.||Badly run down||||4) Breakfast||||Was there for 3 days, never see/notice any change to the food available. Bread or prata is hard and not tasty. Eggs are also not tasty and service is slow.||To me, it is a horrible breakfast which I do not enjoy.||||Coffee is not nice||||5) Service||||Service attitude is fine, just that it was super slow. They basically take their own sweet time. English standard is reasonable.||||6) Overall||||As compared to my previous review, it was quite a nice stay before, for this time it was a real disappointment.||Really run down with clearly no maintanence (there do seem to be works going on)||If it is not because it is near to the office which I need to go, I guess I will never stay in this...
Read moreIam Advocate Abu Sayiid, President of the Shariatpur District Bar Association and also a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, resided permanently at Shariatpur. On every weekend I have to go to Dhaka and Iam started my hotel life with the Hotel Purbani International since 2002. I was almost a permanent resident of this hotel. From Guard to Reception, almost all the staff had been there known to me. I was happy about the environment of this hotel. Sometimes I'm invited my friends here to get a new expression. Sometimes I think that the way we are now and how we can make it for the best because the authority provides me some facilities and I enjoy it.
Here we enjoy complementary breakfast at the restaurant. Sometimes if I am feels like a little bit of time I request to the reception to make an arrangement to provide my breakfast to my room and they do that with duly honor. I very much know what is the complementary one but there are a few things that can be considered for the inconvenience. Though I am an Advocate I have some friends who are serving as Judges and some of them are ladies also. They are the only ones who are not interested in the open restaurant. That's why I asked you to supply the breakfast to my room.

I request them to make the necessary changes to the rules but they are not allowed it. I left the hotel without having breakfast. I decided not to go to the hotel and I was going to go to...
