Not clean. Service is not good. They didn’t provide clean sheet or comforter, that caused itching problem all over the body. They didn’t even clean the room properly before check in. Very disappointing service. Never want to go there again. They said they did not get enough time?what?I was waiting in the lobby and repeatedly told them to clean properly. I have no rush.500 Tk discount? Did you give that! You take money for what reason? Abusive! I can not even complain!? If you can not take the criticism, why are you in the business? How much early should we book the room? What about the urgency? No one stays in a hotel unless It's necessary. N.B.: 1.There were used sanitary pad in the bathroom. 2.The comforter was dirty as hell. Smelled like human urine. 3.The bed sheet was dirty, There were black dirt all over. 4.The lunch was overpriced. (They advised to lunch in their restaurant.) 5.After calling several time they provided one thin single blanket for two people. 6.They did not spray aerosol for the mosquitoes even after calling 7.We called them again to provide another blanket but they did not. 8.Aftet 12 am,we had to go in person to take a bed sheet. 9.We waited long enough that they would give us a blanket and spray aerosol. 10.The door knob was broken. 11.The whole room smelled like human urine. You should have dealt these things well because It's your job and you are taking money for that. You are making money with your this kind* of service but...
Read moreWe stayed here after 2 nights at Al Razzak down the road (which is lovely, and almost half the price but room's were booked). Pacific was much much worse. Not cheap by South Asian standards (double what we consider budget in india & rest of Bangladesh) and the rooms are horrible. Dirty sheets, cockroaches galore, no windows, shower not properly functional. Restaurant was passable. Staff were very rude. On our last day the receptionist was asked to book a taxi for us to the airport. He left, came back and said it would be 5 minutes. After 30, he had made no effort to find it other than secretly calling his friend with a private car who hounded us to go with him instead, for 8x the price...! After nearly an hour, I went out into the monsoon rains and found one myself in 5 minutes. I am not easily offended and yes I am used to cheap and shabby places (been working and travelling in india for 14 months). Genuinely don't stay here. Go to Al Razzak. It is much...
Read moreThe Pacific has the advantage of being listed in a 5-year old Lonely Planet as the backpacker pick. To be frank it is dirty and overpriced. Current cost of non-AC room is nearly $20, which is way too much.||Bathroom fittings largely broken, rooms have consistently not been cleaned properly, sheets clean (but old stains). Seems they have plenty of staff on hand, but they could spend some more time cleaning the place instead of trying to fleece tips from the customers.|I am an experienced low budget traveller in South Asia, and have no issue with "basic", but basic places need to be clean.||Advantage is location and good wifi (in lobby). There are other hotels in the area and I expect that as soon as the new LP is out, the Pacific will lose its gravy train...
