Wow, I just can’t say enough good things about this experience. The best way to sum it up is ā€œeasy and effortless.ā€ From the initial WhatsApp message to check availability, through the booking process, through the stay itself, everything was just so smooth and simple. Chris and his team have done an incredible job at Chabil Mar and they put on a master class for how resorts should treat their customers and guests. Every single person that you interact with greets you with a smile, a friendly ā€œhelloā€, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. ||We visited for my wife’s birthday and they took some additional steps to make it extra special. They arranged a special (private) dinner on the end of the dock with beautiful tropical decorations and even ordered a birthday cake made from a local baker. It was delicious. My wife also has a seafood allergy that they handled perfectly, the front office made the kitchen aware of her allergy and we never had any issues at all. We rented a golf cart from the resort which made exploring the village a lot of fun and very easy. ||Upon booking the room, I asked for their assistance in booking our domestic flights to/from Placencia. They handled that with perfection with Maya Air and they also handled the airport transfers. Their timing was perfect, they knew exactly what they were doing. Upon landing in Placencia we were greeted with a sign, a cold bottle of water and a cool rag, it was a wonderful welcome.||The staff here were truly exceptional and that’s what sets them apart from the rest, the front desk/concierge, the waiters and bartenders, the gardeners, the housekeeping staff, the security, everyone was so kind, helpful, and friendly. I haven’t stayed anywhere else in Placencia but I can’t believe that anyone, anywhere is doing it as good or as perfect as they are at Chabil Mar. ||We will be back again very soon, no...

Words cannot explain how much my wife and I appreciate Chabil Mar Villas and their entire staff but we will do our best in this review.

We were scheduled to be married at Chabil Mar on 11/16/24 however Mother Nature had other plans. Tropical Storm Sara formed just as we arrived on 11/13, bringing with it a ton of rain and wind. Due to this we had to rearrange our entire plan and this is where the staff at Chabil Mar truly went above and beyond in making our dream wedding come true no matter what.

The manager Chris worked tirelessly to provide us with any and every option to make our wedding work. He had his staff move tables and chairs more times than I can count, worked hand in hand with our photographer Ben and our videographer Tyler to coordinate everything, and made his staff available to accommodate every need. He might as well have been our wedding planner with how he took charge of the situation, making sure that we made the best of any situation Mother Nature would give us.

In the end, we had our dream wedding ceremony on 11/18 once the weather cleared and it was absolutely perfect. This would not have been possible if not for the tremendous care from Chris, his fantastic staff including Kyle, Oscar, and everyone else on the team.

From the bottom of our hearts thank you Chris and Chabil Mar Villas for making this possible.

Any time we return to Placencia we will be staying at Chabil Mar Villas and for anyone reading this review rest assured that if you stay at this property you will be treated like family and be provided with absolutely top...

This is an extremely impressive property. We stayed for a week (2 adults, 1 toddler). The staff was amazing, they were not only friendly but really did try to make the stay memorable. The grounds... phenomenal, the grounds keepers do a wonderful job and even create garden art with various animal carvings that are fun. The concierge coordinated excursions, and set us up with a babysitter for when we took those tours.

We stayed in Villa 9, 1 bedroom. It was perfect for us because it was ground level, so much easier with the toddler. The 2nd level provides better views from your lanai or patio, but you have to go up the stairs, so something to think about.

It's easy to get into Placencia Village with their evening shuttle (4-10pm every day), and renting a golf cart is always an option. You can walk to Top Value market, which had all the basics for us, including diapers for the toddler.

Don't be shy about trying stuff, I had live termites (minty flavor) on the Monkey tour, the Lion Fish crudo at RumFish was amazing (and they have one of the best key lime pies I have ever had) , the Fish Sere right in Chabil Mar was a decent substitute for Hudut.

The Monkey River Tour was awesome, and probably some of the best stew chicken with rice and beans you will find. Extremely tender and delicious.

But something that really stuck out, walking out in the morning at like 5 or 6 am onto their pier and just taking in the tranquility. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, all on an exclusive beach with iguanas and beautiful birds and sea...

Chabil Mar was excellent. Incredible sandy beaches. Beautiful infinity pools. Delicious food and very tasty drinks. Upon check in they helped with room selection, price, planes from BZE to Placencia, and van transport to the resort. Once I booked with Chabil, I didnt worry about anything, they asked for all the flight info and helped take care of everything else. So wonderful! We traveled as a small group of friends and couples and had more than enough room for everyone. We were able to rent a golf cart every day we needed it (or hourly if you only need a quick run to town). Our stay was very comfortable and the staff continually checked in to make sure that we were happy and satisfied with our stay. They bring food and drinks anywhere you are on the property (out at the pier, in the dining area, by the pools, or to your rooms. We also went on a few excursions (scuba diving, Mayan tours, cave tubing). The thing to know about booking through Chabil... it might not be the cheapest you would find in town, thats fair, but they dont just book the cheapest tours for a reason, they book the best tours and also take care of all the logistics. The price difference is very minimal and 100% worth booking through the resort. Upon check out, they have kept every receipt and detail out exactly what you are being charged and why. They are very transparent, very honest, and happy to explain each cost. I had such a great time that I will certainly be back...and hopefully sooner than later!

Have always wanted to visit Belize. After a lot of research and a little guess work, I decided to take the family to Placentia to try to experience both the land and sea aspects of the country. Chabil Mar popped up on google maps and looked to be in a prime location close to the town, right on the beach, and with access to the mainland (it's on the peninsula so you can drive anywhere). The reviews have been spot on. This place is gorgeous. The condo we stayed in was immaculate. The staff is exceptional and go way out of the way to make your stay enjoyable. Food is fantastic and they will serve you anywhere you want to eat it. Breakfast by the pool? No problem. Dinner on your private patio? No problem. Reserve the pier for an evening dinner. You'll love it. They set up multiple trips for us, including snorkeling, a visit to Mayan ruins, zip lining and river tubing, a river hike, and a jungle river tour. All of them were a unique and personalized experience. Early in the week, a storm took out power. They have generator capacity so you never know it when it happens. We did lose internet for 5 days. But honestly, I think it was nice to be off the grid for a while. We were so busy, it did not matter at all. Would really love to go back sometime and visit again. If you get the chance, go! Enjoy it!
