This is a good hotel, but it has its cons as well. We booked a 5-days stay there as it has a review of 9+ on a famous booking platform. I would personally give 4 stars to this hotel. First of all, the hotel has a great swimming pool and various facilities such as a tennis court or complimentary kayaks. Also, the room is absolutely huge and comes with AC and a fully equipped kitchen. The beach access is great, even though the sea wasn’t that attractive during our stay due to the algae. The hotel staff tried to keep it under control by collecting these algae every morning. What we personally didn’t like : The AC was one of the noisiest and least efficient we’ve ever had. The location is far from everything so you would definitely need to rent a golf cart or be willing to eat at the resort every day. The resort’s restaurant is dramatically overpriced and the food is highly disappointing. The quality of the food served does not justify its price at all. The transportation fee they offer are ridiculous. Rent a golf cart and you will save money! There is a $50 USD fee if you lose your room key. We didn’t lose of our key, but I personally think that this is scandalous. I understand that hotel should not suffer extra cost from uncaring guests, but an hotel should also not be making extra money from a guest’s mistakes and clearly $50 USD is not the price they pay to make a key. Housekeeping is supposedly made every 2 days. It never was done during our trip despite repeatedly putting the housekeeping sign (and being out of the room on average 7h per day during regular daytime hours) Few things to keep in mind : If you book a tour from the agency on the hotel’s dock, make sure to book it online or directly with the tour agency. We went to Huff’n’tuff and they initially tried to charge us $90 for a tour, but when we said “Why? It’s literally $70 online” they said that it was the hotel extra charge price but they would honor the online price. Overall, this is a nice and relax hotel. Definitely not an outstanding one, but still a place that won’t crush your vacations! If you want to reduce cost, rent a cart and use the room’s kitchen (or eat in other places.) I would give it 7.5 out of 10.

When you look at places to stay online, some times the pictures are outdated or photo shopped to the point you can't reconcile with what you see when you get there. This place is off the charts gorgeous and so well taken care of, it almost gleams!! Every single day, the dedicated, professional and friendly crew is out early making the place continue to stay majestic. The bartenders are extremely personable, friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to those we had the opportunity to spend time with Miss Patti, Mr. Marvin and Flacco!! Can't wait to see them again!! The front desk is a bend over backwards group that will do everything they can to make sure your needs and even wants are taken care of. The shinning star here(probably biased a little as we had the most contact with her) is Miss Yaniri. She was so sweet and caring, I would adopt her if she needed a father figure. Just to be clear, my reviews are true experiences and I have given negative reviews when my experiences so require it. Businesses can't improve unless they hear the truth. If I had one piece that would be a tiny improvement to their clear desire and success at perfection, it would be for them to have an on property kitchen. With that said, the sister property is basically next door and the food is really good. Rest assured if you get a chance to stay here, it will be amazing!!!! 7/13/2024 -Yearly trip for us now. Hard to beat the pricing and the amenities!! This year, new bikes!!!

Great place to stay with the kids. Stayed for 7 nights, enjoyed the pool and the hot tub every day. They have free kayaks and paddle boards for use to enjoy the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious, the balcony is large with a great view! Some cons -The kitchen appliances are a bit outdated, we had to maneuver the stove a bit, and the bed was very uncomfortable for us, very soft and very high pillows, the opposite of what we typically enjoy for a good night sleep. One night the air conditioner stopped working and the staff were generous enough to offer another room for the night or bring extra fans for a comfortable sleep. It was fixed the day after and they cared enough to ask about our night! The location was perfect for us between the city and the secret beach, 20 min each direction. Very quiet area but with reasonable driving distance. If you are staying more than a few nights rent a golf cart for sure, as the shuttle is pricey. There are 2 options for food around, coco beach restaurant and bar grill across the road. It was okay but expensive, overall the food and groceries on the island are very expensive, much more than we expected, keep this in mind. Overall we had lots of fun diving and snorkelling, ask the company to pick you up from the hotel dock when possible.

Even before leaving Miami for our four-day vacation to attend a wedding on the beach at Belizean Shores Resort, we had excellent assistance and support from the staff (Janelly/Jose and Sylvia). We had to make changes in the dates of arrival and departure; no problem! We asked to have the Maya Flights coordinated and booked through them; no problem! We had our transportation coordinated by them and it all went smoothly upon arrival and for departure!

Upon arriving at the beautiful resort the staff (all of them) were some of the nicest people we have met and the genuinely went out their way to make our stay outstanding. Patty and Marvin at the pool bar handled our wedding crowd for multiple days in a very festive and positive atmosphere that all enjoyed. Any requests or questions were handled effectively and thoughtfully by the front desk staff.

The wedding on the beach, with reception, was well planned and beautiful. Delsi was excellent in having her team ready to serve. Preparation started the day before the event and right up to the start with all the staff helping to make it a success. It was a special night for the couple, their family, and guests, with the weather providing a prefect setting.

The rooms were very nice and clean, with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea and the waves crashing over the barrier reef off shore. Marvin advised of a walking trail along the water front going towards town that we took each day for a healthy 3 mile round trip.

Thank you for an excellent, but too short stay,...

My family and I just spent the last week at Belizean Shores. The resort sits about 3.5 miles North of San Pedro. It is much quieter at this end of the island rather than in town. The road is paved to the resort. The resort is a little dated but the service and attention to detail were outstanding. We would not hesitate to stay again. I did a lot of research and at this price point, I don't feel like we could have gotten a better deal. One resort over, the cost would have been $1000 more for the week. The landscaping here is immaculate and every single worker we encountered was helpful, kind and gracious. We booked 2 Tours through the tour company Tuff Enough (They have a dock on site). Both tours delivered as promised. We also rented a golf cart on site through the hotel with J&K golf cart rental. The cart was wonderful and they even topped off our tank and washed the carts mid week at no extra charge! It was extremely convenient to just turn the cart in at the end of the week with no hassle. We stayed in 2D (which could have better water pressure for the shower) but who cares, you are in Belize where a little water pressure issue is not going to break the vacation in paradise. Our room was extremely spacious and we had a great balcony to overlook the beautiful beach. Housekeeping was phenomenal and they even washed our dirty dishes! Please be sure to tip these wonderful folks who put so much hard work into making this place a return to again and...
