Comfortable, convenient and fun! Our group used two villas - Brushstrokes on the lower level and Villa Del Mar on the Upper Level. Both villas were well decorated, clean and comfortable. Our family especially loved the easy pool access from Brushstrokes, especially with toddlers and family members with mobility issues. Enough cannot be said about the staff! They go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and well taken care of. Myrtle was a wonderful face to see everyday with a bright smile and Caesy was very helpful in assisting with group restaurant reservations and taxi arrangements into town. We also enjoyed the location since the north end of Ambergris is calmer and quieter (plus, you're located closer to Secret Beach). For groceries, it's easy to find fresh produce at The Farmhouse Market & Cafe (also great bakery items, smoothies and coffee/tea) and all your other essentials at Super Buy Express, both located on the north side of the bridge minutes from Belizean Cove. There are a number of restaurants within a short walk or golf cart/taxi ride from the property. It was also extremely convenient to rent golf carts from the property. We also used the sea kayaks one day to explore the reef.

Perfect place for rest and relaxation! Belizean Cove Estates is very quiet and clean. Our unit had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The grounds and pool are meticulously maintained. This place is a hidden gem from the main road but is close to everything you need or will want to do. Secret Beach is close and a drive into town is very close for places to eat. Anything you need Caesy and her team will arrange for you- from golf carts, to groceries, to dinner reservations or excursions or airport pickups. They handle it all and know the best people and places and give excellent guidance on what will be the best experience. I highly recommend staying at the Belizean Cove as I saw no other property that compared on my walks along the beach. We definitely will be back to visit!

Great stay, great vacation, and great memories! The highly recommended Villa Sol Mate at Belizean Cove Estates made for the perfect tropical getaway! Beautiful decor, spacious rooms, and modern amenities made our stay at Villa Sol Mate feel luxurious and relaxing. There’s nothing better than waking up to the sounds of the waves and a view of the pool, beach, and tropical trees and plants. Be sure to take a nap in the hammocks or a dip in the large multi-tiered pool! Also check out the paddle boards, kayaks, and bicycles to add some adventurous activities to your stay. The friendly and attentive staff have lots of food and activity recommendations and even booked us a snorkeling tour that conveniently picked us up from the dock at Belizean Cove Estate!

We stayed in the villa called “Serenity Now” at Belizean Cove Estates in Aug 2025. It is an absolutely beautiful 3 bedroom villa with gorgeous decor and high-end furnishing. The landscaping and pool were stunning and meticulously maintained. There is an area for corn hole, hammocks, paddle boards and kayaks. Everything about the property was top quality. The staff were wonderful as well. ||This is the very disappointing part. We were not able to use any of the outdoor ammenities due to the horrible smell of decaying sargasm (seaweed) that had collected, for what looked like months, along the shoreline (see photos). ||I have never smelled anything like it. It would make you gag! The odor of septic or sewage is a comparable smell. You could even smell it (although not as strong) inside the condo with all the windows and doors closed and the air conditioner running. We would wake up during the night and smell it. | |There was about 40 feet sargasm from the shore outward — stagnant, dried up and rotting and onother 60-100 feet of freshly washed up sargasm, and then another 100 feet of murky brown water full of sargasm that went way beyond the end of their dock. It was so thick at the shoreline that coconut shells and random items like sandals just sat on top of the dried, caked-up seaweed. It looked as if you could walk across it. ||I understand that sargasm can’t be prevented but it is possible to clear at least some of it away periodically. This sargasum issue affects most hotels and homes along the shoreline on the ocean side of the island. ||We learned that the sargasm is a seasonal (summer) issue, so if you are planning a trip in the summer, you may want to consider accommodations on the other side of the island where it does not wash up. Or call the hotel directly to determine if they are cleaning up periodically. ||My 2-star review is due to the fact that we paid for a 3-bedroom condo with amenities that we could not possibly use — a pool, hot tub, kayaks, hammocks, outdoor terrace, paddle boards and an ocean view (not brown water and dried seaweed). It was very upsetting. I would expect them to at least try to stay on top of clearing it up throughout the season as best as they could. It looked as if it had been there all summer. I think odor would be significantly reduced had they done so.||Having said all of this, we enjoyed our time on the island doing activities away from the condo during the day. And as I mentioned the villa “Serenity Now” itself was great as well...

My husband, our two kids and I stayed in Belizean Cove estates - in the villa, Villa Sol Mate. There is so much to mention I don't know where to start but I will start with the complex as a whole. Everyone who worked there was really kind. They have bikes you can check out to go explore the area. We hopped in a Kayak and paddled to a beautiful lunch spot right over the water (It was called RumDog and the view was absolutely breath taking). I thought my teen would hate kayaking but forced her to try and I was wrong - she found a new love of kayaking! The pool is insanely huge considering there are only 8 villas. Great for kids of all ages, as there are shallow spots to play and deeper areas to swim. We saw other people at the pool only once during our 6 night stay. During the day if you walk out to the pier it feels like you are on top of the world/in the middle of the ocean. There is a sitting area and two beach chairs - take a moment to soak that in, it is a unique feeling. At night it is lit up and is just a really cool vibe. The desk staff was very friendly and helped us book our excursions , I highly suggest the snorkeling on the reef and shark experience. You get to visit another island, Caye Caulker and it was the coolest snorkeling experience of my life. ||Villa Sol Mate - is hands down the nicest place I have ever booked for a vacation. There were flowers on the beds and in the bathroom which set the mood for a great stay. It felt like a home, not a rental. The decor was gorgeous and the ceilings tall and ornate. The place is super clean, not a grain of sand ANYWHERE inside, it is meticulously cleaned and maintained. ||The master bedroom and bathroom were huge. Way bigger than I expected. We legit felt spoiled. Not to mention the AIR CONDITIONER. We keep the a/c at home at a steady 68 degrees so I was a bit worried that we would get to Central America and the unit wouldn't keep up with our demand. But each bedroom had its own temp control and my husband and I set that baby on 17 degrees and soaked it in :). ||The kids room and bathroom was also huge. Way bigger than they are used to. Half of the double closet was full of shelves and there was plenty of room and storage so they didn't have to trip over suitcases all week. ||Sidenote the residents of Belize are all so kind. Even the airport workers! We will 100% visit Belize and stay at the Villa Sol Mate again. It was perfection! P.s. family approved - we loved Palapas, Rum Dog, Truck Stop and...
