My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending 5 delightful days at All Seasons, a charming guest house resort nestled just beyond the bustling tourist area in Hopkins, Belize. The location was ideal, allowing easy access to both the village and the more resort-focused southside. Junior, the manager, deserves special commendation for his attentive care and warm hospitality. He ensured our comfort with thoughtful amenities like beach chairs, bikes, and even bug sprays. Our stay in the spacious 1st floor Scarlet Macaw room was a delight, impeccably clean and equipped with a queen bed, 2 twin beds, and most importantly- exceptional air conditioning!
At All Seasons, the beauty extends beyond the rooms to the enchanting courtyard, where guests are greeted by a tropical oasis. The pergola, adorned with vibrant flowers, offers serene hammocks near a soothing fountain, creating a perfect spot for relaxation. The meticulously landscaped grounds boast a variety of exotic plants and flowers, and we loved that many of them are labeled. The highlight is the stunning covered gazebo and outdoor kitchen in the front section, complete with an authentic stone fireplace and cozy adobe bench seating. My husband loved catching fresh snapper that he had caught on the charcoal fireplace. It's a picturesque setting for friends to gather, whether for outdoor cooking or engaging conversations under the Belizean sky.
Junior's recommendation of the beach bar/restaurant right across the street (called H2V), added to our 1st day experience, providing a perfect spot for cold Belekin beers on the Carribean. Junior also recommended a spot where we could rent an inexpensive golf cart for the week and we were able to park it safely right outside the resort.
All in all, our time at All Seasons surpassed expectations, thanks to Junior and the entire team's dedication to guest satisfaction. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to other lucky...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights in March 2024 as a family of 4.||Junior was amazing. He made us feel very welcome and answered all of our annoying questions at all times of the day. He kept it very clean and was great at always lowering the seats on the bikes for my kids. He never complained once!||The room was amazing! 2 queen size beds, fridge, toaster, coffee, giant jug of water....huge shower! The beds were super comfy, as were the pillows. The room was spotless and large. I can't speak for any of the other rooms but this room was great. The common area was large with chairs, tables and hammocks. There is no restaurant here but there are several in walking distance. There is also an excursion company out front if you want to do anything. ||This house is not on the beach but only about 30ft away. They offer beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, towels etc for free. It really is full service. Lots of shade and the water is warm, not rocky at all....but can be wavy depending on the weather.||I found that Hopkins was sort of split in 2.....the "local" Hopkins" and the "resort" Hopkins. This guest house is in "local" Hopkins and we loved that. So many restaurants and grocery stores. My kids were playing in the park with some local kids. Everyone is so friendly. Then there is "resort" Hopkins. It is about 3/4 mils down the road and it has a completely different vibe. All tourist, only restaurants in the hotels, no grocery stores (that I saw) Just a different feel. Neither one was better or worse, just depends what you are looking for. ||We loved that they offered bikes to borrow. Several times we took them out and stopped at different little shops. Its just perfect. Everything is also walkable from here and it is beautiful at night. ||I highly recommend this...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. We had THE most unpleasant experience with the owners of this establishment. I will refer to them as Mr & Mrs KAREN. When you are in the business of serving the public, customer service is essential. And they both had NONE. we were not there ten minutes when Mr. Karen approached us in a very rude and hostile manner complaining about several issues that he was not pleased about. Mrs. Karen kept up the tone by defending her husband. The atmosphere felt so toxic and uncomfortable that we ended up going to another hotel. There was no way we would have felt safe sleeping there. But if you chose to stay at this guest house, I will give you two sets of advice. #1: if you are allowed into the cottage or room before check-in time, do not turn on the lights, fans or a/c, because according to Mr Karen, you will be costing him extra in electricity. #2: DO NOT bring more “heartbeats”(their word) than what is allowed in the room. The cottage we rented can hold up to 6 people. We had 7. Mind you, the 7th person was an 8 year old child. We were told that one of us will not be allowed to sleep there and that that person must find other accommodations. We ask if we could just pay the additional cost, and was told NO. He then accused us of “bartering” with him. He continued by saying, “you’re not going to make this white boy lose his license.” Referring to the Belize Tourism Board license. I am still trying to figure out if these people are naturally rude, racist, or both. Would never recommend this...
