Hostal Bivouac — Hotel in La Paz

My husband and I spend almost a week at this Hostal, since we extended our stay multiple times :-) It is family-operated with extremely helpful and friendly staff and a loving dog called Lucy! Everything you need is provided including shampoo, hair drier, towels… The room was cozy and comfortable and best of all provided free heating, which is a luxury in South America. We had one of the best breakfasts in South America and in top of that you can use the kitchen on the top floor for self-cooking. We also were allowed to leave our big backpacks for free at the Hostal, while we were going oil a trip to the Amazonas. Everything was perfect, thank you! Highly recommended staying here...

Juan is a lovely host and goes out of his way to help you with your plans, suggestions, advice etc. There is an adorable little doggo called Lucy who is just the sweetest little thing to come home to at the end of a long day.

The place is decorated with taste and the rooms and exceptionally clean, the whole place is. The beds are super comfortable and the shower is hot with great pressure. There is great radiator in each room for when it gets super cold outside.

Breakfast is included and the eggs are delicious. There is plenty of selection for the price. The internet can be flakey but does the job.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Juan and his family go above and beyond to help you and get you settled in. Breakfast is lovely. The rooms, bathrooms and the hostal in general are impeccably clean, spotless. Feels like such a lovely place to come back to after a long day of exploring. Rooms were just like the photos. Great pressure in the shower and it gets lovely and hot. Cannot say anything negative...
