We booked a few days ahead with Booking.com, and the best thing I can say is that our reservation had been received by them, and our room was ready.||||Walking in, we were surprised to find a large, open space, mostly devoid of trees, covered in crabgrass. The cabins, standing under the baking sun lacked charm and the ability to open windows, but our air conditioning was fully functional - i just wish it wasn't pointing at my face. I would have preferred a shaded cabin with mesh windows for a breeze, but we slept soundly. The linens were clean-ish, though the towels had a musty smell, as though they had put away damp.||||The breakfast was alright, with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and ham, though real coffee would have been nice - only instant was available. The pool was cloudy and over-chlorinated, fully exposed to the sun with no shade in sight. It was surrounded by the aforementioned ant-filled crabgrass, making it uncomfortable to step out of the pool onto the chaises longues.||||At check-in, we filled out a form asking how we would pay - cash, Mastercard, or visa. We circled Mastercard, wrote down our card number, and budgeted our cash accordingly. Upon check-out, on our way to the airport: surprise! Cash only. ||||We figured it out in the end, and we made due here. It was unpleasant only in contrast to the other places we stayed in town and elsewhere in Bolivia. If nowhere else is available, I would recommend it heartily over a night in the street, but...
Read moreThe place seems as if ir was left by everybody and not cleaned since. It is really going downhill compared to the reviews we saw before we went there. The rooms have very filthy curtains and isn't cleaned properbly. The rooftop is dirty and full of birds sh.. It seems as if everyone has given uo. ||The good things are the garden that is nice and kept well and potentially the pools - eventhough our kids ended up with very strong skin reaction after a day in the pool. ||They serve fresh bread for breakfast but eventhen ir is not at all worth the high price they charge for a cabin. Not even when you get the price down. The dogs outside the garden will spoil the last bit of joy during nighttime.||They restaurant is closed so no food exept the breakfast included. Which means that you have to go to town for every snack and meal. They try with some kind of service but not even a coffee or a tea is available. No hotel worth visiting but if they change the management the spot definitelly has its...
Read moreMy husband and I had spent a few nights in the rainforest and were looking forward to a night of luxury. Unfortunately the hotel did not live up to expectations. With a bit more tlc it would be fine. ||Arrival: very average, nothing like some of the welcomes we have received in Bolivia. ||Room: large cabin. Whilst we appreciate the town is dry and dusty the room looked liked it had been cleaned some time ago and then left. Plenty of dust and the curtains looked very old and tired. Bed ok. Shower, plenty of water, fine temperature for the heat. ||Outside: plenty of space but not very welcoming, we had to go and find someone for a drink. No offer of towels. ||Breakfast: very average, we waited for some time before anyone noticed us. No offer of hot water refill. ||Would we return, probably not, plenty of choices in the town. A small effort with the little things could make it...
