Curichal Hostel Review If you're looking for an authentic backpacker experience in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia, Curichal Hostel is the place to be. Nestled in the heart of this vibrant town, this hostel truly stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and fantastic amenities, particularly the pool which is a godsend after a day of exploring the Amazonian jungle. The Pool: One of the highlights of staying at Curichal Hostel is undoubtedly the pool. It's not just any pool; it's an oasis of relaxation with comfortable lounging areas around it, perfect for unwinding. The water is clean and refreshing, providing a cool retreat from the often humid Rurrenabaque climate. Whether you're looking to cool off, socialize with fellow travelers, or simply enjoy some downtime with a book, this pool area is a significant plus. Selim and Yaritza: The owners, Selim and Yaritza, deserve a special mention for their exceptional hospitality. Their warmth and friendliness make you feel like part of the family from the moment you check in. They go out of their way to ensure guests are comfortable, providing insightful tips about local tours, the best places to eat, and how to make the most out of your visit to Rurrenabaque. Their personal touch, combined with their deep knowledge of the area, elevates the overall experience at Curichal Hostel. Overall Experience: The hostel itself offers a mix of dormitory and private rooms, all kept clean and tidy. The communal areas are spacious and encourage interaction among guests, fostering a community feel that's rare to find. The location is ideal for those wanting to embark on Amazon tours, being just a stone's throw away from where the adventures begin. In summary, Curichal Hostel combines comfort with the authentic backpacker vibe, thanks largely to its wonderful pool and the incredible management by Selim and Yaritza. If you're planning a trip to this part of Bolivia, make sure to book your stay here for an unforgettable experience.

I have to say that the workers here are all nice and friendly!! But that wasn't enough to make this a good stay. The bedrooms and its bathrooms don't have glass windows and doors, they only have a mosquito net and a curtain on top which makes ALL THE NOISE to go through and it low key feels not private at all as one constantly has the fear that the wind will blow and move the curtains, so the feeling of exposure is quite annoying. Also they're right next to a football or something field where they play until past midnight, and remember the glassless windows and doorless rooms?? So say goodbye to a goodnight sleep.. the breakfast is quite poor, some fruits, tiny portion of scrambled eggs and COLD COFFEE, even after I asked the volunteer in Spanish and English if there was a way to warm up the coffee he offered me a "solution" to put hot water in it.. so the price (32€) and quality ratio for a private room is really off and not worth it. Oh, the wifi doesn't reach the bedrooms...

The Hostel El Curichal welcomes everyone. The owner is such a great person and made our stay so nice. He organized the bus tickets and even helped us out with some painkillers as we had some problems with the stomach. He knows everything about the place and can give good restaurants advice. They have a big pool and a nice area with hammocks where you can relax really good. Sometimes it gets a bit loud at night but the great breakfast makes everything forget. The rooms are clean, with cold and hot showers. We recommend this place very much.

Yo, listen up, 'cause I'm about to drop some truth bombs about El Curichal Hostel in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia. ||First off, this place, it's like stepping into your abuela's house if your abuela was cool enough to have an outdoor pool and a bar where you can chill like you're in a "Grown Ups" movie sequel. The staff here? They're like the best friends you never knew you needed. They're always around, super friendly, and they make you feel like you're not just another gringo passing through. I mean, you could be Billy Madison himself and they'd still have your back.||||Now, about the rooms - they're not the Ritz Carlton, but hey, they're clean, they've got what you need, and they're perfect if you're just crashing for a night or ten before or after your jungle tour. You got your mosquito nets, so you don't wake up looking like you've been fighting in a "Waterboy" match against the bugs.|||The pool? Oh man, the pool is the MVP here. It's like the one in "50 First Dates", perfect for cooling off after a hot day in the jungle or just to chill and forget you're not on some tropical island. And the hammocks, don't even get me started. They're all over the place, giving you that lazy, laid-back vibe where you can just zone out and enjoy the Bolivian breeze.||||Breakfast? It's like a scene from "The Wedding Singer" where everything's just right - not too fancy, but it gets the job done, and you don't have to worry about any "Click" moments where you're stuck in a time loop of hunger.|||And the location, dude, it's smack in the heart of Rurrenabaque, so you can stumble out of the hostel and be at all the good spots in no time. Whether you're looking for some local grub or you're about to embark on an adventure in the Amazon, you're set.||||So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a place where you can laugh, relax, and maybe even find your next "Happy Gilmore" moment, El Curichal Hostel is where it's at. Trust me, you'll leave here with more than just memories; you'll have some epic stories to tell back home. Two thumbs up, and if I had more,...
