We made a booking for this hotel in July this year. The booking was through Booking.com.|The hotel confirmed the reservation and even replied to my question about the quietness of the hotel.|We arrived today to find the hotel was full and there was no room for us. The manager made various phone calls but nothing came of this other than to confirm there was a big problem. We sort of gathered that already!|It turned out that they did indeed have our booking for today. We saw our name on their reservation list . However due to their total incompetence they had given our room to someone else this morning!|No explanation and no assistance to find alternative accommodation was offered. In fact the manager seemed to find the whole episode quite amusing and just kept repeating " no speak English" as if that answered the issue.|We did have a second booking at this hotel for the end of the week but needless to say we have cancelled it as we have no confidence in their ability to honour any booking made.|Interestingly a local guide informed us that these sort of problems frequently occur with this hotel.||For obvious reasons we are in no position to comment on any other aspects of the hotel as it's a prerequisite to actually be provided with a rom in the first place.|On the basis of our experience we could not recommend to anyone and would never...
Read moreThis place was recommended to us by our pampas tour company, after a disastrous stay at Hostel El Lobo. For the same price, we had a newly-refurbished room, with clean bedding, secure mosquito netting, clean bathroom with miniature soap/shampoo and okay wifi. It also has a large swimming pool which served as a welcome break from the hot sun. The hotel has not long been taken over by new management who are improving the whole site.|A few development points to note:|- Whilst we were there it was pretty empty of guests meaning the atmosphere was somewhat lacking.|- The shower, despite being hot and of decent pressure, was held together by sticky tape and sparked on turning on and off.|- Our room had a ceiling fan which helped with our sleep, though it only worked on full speed which meant we needed our blankets. The good side though was that the noise of the fan drowned out the sound of the world outdoors (e.g. dogs, cockerels and motorbikes).|Those being said, these are things that can be improved and this place is good for what we saw in...
Read moreWe stayed here before and after we did our jungle tour. This hotel has a nice big pool which is the reason we came back the second time but upon arrival, we saw that our private bathroom had not been cleaned. It smelled like pee and there were hairs all over the toilet and sink, and the floor was wet. I'm not very picky when it comes to staying in hostels but what really frustrated me was the staff's response to our complaint who told us there was no one around to clean or do anything about it. There is very loud music playing all day long at the pool which can be nice but not ALL day which can make it hard to relax. The hotel pool also doubles as the town's public swimming pool so there are a lot of people around at...
