We have stayed for a night before a jungle lodge experience and were very happy. It was very quiet, not many other guests. In fact, we were the only ones using the pool all day. It was very relaxing. Also we loved the garden, it's beautiful and there are a couple of funny talking green parrots.|The room was nice, not luxurious, but it had everything we needed, including air conditioning. There was a mini bar with free water and some snacks for purchase.|The staff was nice, friendly and patient with my very basic Spanish skills. We stayed here the night before and after our pampas trip and really enjoyed the time at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the pool looks out to the river Beni so you can watch the world go by. Maya Hotel was a beautiful oasis in the city. The backyard has multiple sitting areas esconced in tropical plants as well as a sitting area right on the river. The breakfast in the morning was hearty (eggs, cheese, meat, yogurt, fresh local fruit and warm bread). We met many other travelers there, the staff is English speaking and super friendly.
