Hotel lider — Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra

The room was large and newly renovated with a new bathroom and aircon. It was next to the reception with virtually no sound proofing. The location is next to a very busy road. In contrast to description, they did not accept a credit card, only cash. The hotel's entrance is an iron grilled fence whose door gets pad locked at unspecified times. There is supposed to be 24h reception, which is run by the same person.

One night there was a loud rattling at the front door followed by screaming. It turns out a guest returning at 3am could not get in and could not wake up the receptionist. He was mugged in front of the hotel and lost his wallet. Angry shouting continued for some hours.

Last night, loud hammering started at midnight. It turned out the local handyman tried to remove some tile boarding. He was very displeased that I asked him to stop. The receptionist happily slept through the noise.

Milk at breakfast ran out two days ago, instead of getting some from a convenient store around the corner, milk was cancelled.

This is the first time after more than 250 hotel bookings that I write a negative review. I got a very good price on the booking app, but it was definitely...

I booked this hotel because Fodor's had written it up as being decent. However, it was not not a pleasant stay at all. First, they tried to charge me more than the rate published on their website. Second, the photos on the website make the place look much brighter and cheerful than it really is. The first room they tried to put me in was on the top floor and really stuffy, with a fan that did not work and a window so high up I had to get on a chair to open it. The glass panels over the door were broken and were patched up with flimsy newspaper!!!! When I requested a change in room, they tried to charge me more. The bathroom in the next room I was in was not clean - the trash from the previous guest had not been cleared out. Also, it was on the ground floor so the smoke from the guests who were smoking in the common area drifted in. Some other guests were obviously unhappy with somethings so there was quite a bit of yelling going on with the staff. I was glad I had an early morning flight so I could leave ASAP! I would NOT stay there again. Apart from the lack of hygiene, as a single traveller, I did not feel...

La experiencia en este hotel fue totalmente frustrante, sumado a que reclamamos y nunca obtuvimos una respuesta, firmamos en el libro de quejas y nos comunicaron con el que en teoria era el dueño y no nos dieron la atencion que debian darnos ni la devolucion de dinero por el inclumpimiento en los servicios que se jactaban de ofrecer. De tres dias que estuvimos ningun dia recibimos el desayuno por parte de algun empleado del hotel o el desayuno en las condiciones que se debia dar. Preguntabamos la hora del desayuno y las tres veces nos dijieron una hora distinta, el ultimo dia nos levantamos una hora antes para desayunar en le horario que correspondia y no habia nadie, la empleada se habia ido a hacer las compras. Habia inconcordancia entre los empleados unos decian una cosa otros otra y nadie se hacia cargo de nada. Tuvimos que desayunar en el aeropuerto donde nos arrancan la cabeza. SI QUIEREN UNA LINDA EXPERIENCIA EN SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA DE SEGURO NO TIENEN QUE VENIR...
