Read moreWe stayed at the Tropical Inn based on TA's recommendation - it is a total dump, aging and dirty and the location isn't even that great. The place has nothing to recommend itself, the bathrooms smell, floors are filthy and about the only positive thing I can say was that I didn't actually find any bugs in the room. They also refused to serve us breakfast at 9.45am on Sunday despite the fact that the restaurant was full of signs saying breakfast was available til 10am on Sundays, and they charged us 10 Bolivianos for a local call that would have cost next to nothing. Read moreGreat family owned hotel, excellent hospitality and conviniently located at the heart of Santa cruz. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. I spent a week at the hotel with the wife and couldn't be more happier. Even though it's located at the center of the city, very quiet at night and VERY SAFE to stay at. Front desk was very knowledgeable about recommendations and knew all the in and outs. Definetely ask for Roger; best front desk associate i've ever encountered. You are getting the bang for your buck...
