Hostal Salarcito — Hotel in Uyuni

The hotel kindy allowed me to check in earlier after getting off the overnight bus from La Paz.

My room was large with ensuite. It was super cold when I arrived in Uyuni, so I was amazed to find that the hotel has a central heating system that they run for a few hours in the early morning and evening. My room also had a radiator that, combined with the pile of warm thick blankets, ensured I was warm and cosy. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bathroom had an electric shower. Unfortunately, it appeared to be one of the 1st generation versions, so the water only got luke warm, but the central heating made up for this.

We stayed here after a multi-day excursion to the altiplano in need of a hot shower, hearty meal, and comfortable bed. The friendly and helpful staff also provided us with towels, soap, and toilet paper, and called us a taxi to the airport in the morning. The breakfast included freshly baked bread. There is also a bakery next door with tasty cakes and a nearby churresqueria that you shouldn't miss! My only complaint is the 10-minute timer on the hot showers. I would pay extra for...

The room were really confortable. And the hostel is clean. The breakfast is good But the door is always locked... even if you just want to go out to smoke a cigarette you need to run after someone to open to you. Because they locked tohr door without the key on it.

If you have to do laundry don't go to the neighborhood (the women recommend by the host) because she don't give you back all your clothes .... (we are still missing some tee-shirt...
