I loved Be Happy, it's new and owner run (their home) Rafiella couldn't do enough for me, helping me to book tickets and making calls etc. ||The hostel really did make me feel like I was at home - most likely as its family run. The building itself is gorgeous, it's clean to the point of spotless. The pool although small is a great social area and perfect for cooling off at the end of the day. ||Paraty is a beautiful place to unwind, especially if you're coming via Rio-Ilha Grande or Sâo Paulo. Ask Rafiella and she can book you on to some tour too. Very convenience indeed. Also it's location is great, close to everything, check out the near Istanbul restaurant and Casa do Fogo - food is amazing in both places and Pararty 33 is good fun on a Saturday night for a dance...
