Pousada Guapuruvu - Ilha Grande — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

Horrible experience in so many ways!

Good stuff: Aircon works great. Clean room (and cleaned daily)

Bad stuff: Door handle fell off twice Breakfast is basically ham & cheese toasties, scrambled eggs, sausage stew and... cake (?!) at least the toasties remained after they took away the eggs and sausages, but then the toaster broke and all that was left was white bread slices, cheap ham and cheese. That's when even trying to eat breakfast stopped having any point. Construction going on (well, can't really blame them too much. They've gotta do it at some point) No one at the reception when I arrive, and speaks barely any English. The cleaner left her keys in my door for half a day. Yay for security?! They clean by using a water hose, rather than a mop or hoover (common areas), flooding the whole place for quite a while, making it barely usable.

We stayed here for three nights over the brazil may holiday and asked for a balcony room as per the tips on TA. The balcony rooms are about 300 yds nearer the beach and this makes a difference as the main building is further up te hill!|Our stay was great, the room was large, comfy and private. The location is great as it is not on the Main streets so very quiet but close enough to be near everything. Breakfast is wonderful, both in the annex where we stayed and the main part.|The best thing about the pousada is the hosts. The sisters really make you feel at home!
