Pousada Sobre a Rocha — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

My stay at Pousada Sobre a Rocha was AMAZING! The place is a little off of the beach hidden among the trees, yet only a 2 minute walk down to the main Araçatiba beach. The beach is gorgeous and remote, and you can find turtles if you go snorkelling there.

Gabriella and Lucas are incredible hosts - the place is beautifully designed with the common eating/ chilling area looking out over the sea. Every day Lucas cooked us an incredible breakfast, with fresh fruits, homemade bread/ cakes, homemade yoghurt and jam, and cooked eggs or omelette. All absolutely delicious.

In addition, Gabriella was super helpful in coordinating a day trip on a boat to explore other beaches and islands nearby, and lent us with a guidebook to explore the beaches and sights nearby.

The bedroom was clean, comfortable and equipped with a little kitchenette (recommended to bring food from the mainland if you want to cook as ingredients can be expensive on the island).

Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back as soon...

Amazing place to stay with great hosts! Lucas and Gabriela are very friendly, helpful, attentive and hospitable. Every morning we were eating hand made bread, cake and fresh fruits from their garden. Whenever we wanted coffee, they were kind to make it for us and bring to our room on a nice tray with freshly baked cookies. They also helped with organizing a boat and a trip to other beaches. The location is also wonderful as it’s close to the beach and is in the forest. Since there are power outages on the island it was helpful that they had a generator so that we could have electricity most of the time. Our room was clean, everything there was new including AC, we had Netflix and had a magnificent view to the forest. We hope to be back. Highly...

Minha estadia nessa foi simplesmente maravilhosa! Desde o momento em que chegamos, fomos recebidos com um sorriso caloroso e uma hospitalidade incrível. A localização é espetacular – a pousada é pé na areia, proporcionando uma vista deslumbrante do mar a partir de praticamente todos os cantos. Os quartos são aconchegantes e muito bem decorados. A estrutura da pousada é completa. A varanda conta com sofá e poltronas super confortáveis, perfeito para relaxar e aproveitar a vista. O café da manhã é uma verdadeira delícia, com uma variedade de frutas frescas, pães artesanais, sucos naturais e pratos regionais preparados na hora. O atendimento é, sem dúvida, um dos pontos altos. Toda a equipe é extremamente atenciosa e prestativa, sempre pronta para ajudar com um sorriso no rosto. Recebemos ótimas dicas de passeios e atividades na ilha, que tornaram nossa estadia ainda mais especial! A Pousada sobre a rocha é o refúgio perfeito para quem busca tranquilidade e contato direto com a natureza. O som das ondas e a brisa do mar criam um ambiente relaxante e revigorante. A vegetação ao redor é exuberante, proporcionando uma sensação de estar em um verdadeiro paraíso tropical. Recomendo demais a Pousada sobre a rocha olhos fechados!
