Inn Paradise Cumbuco — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Fortaleza

Warning!!! Warning!!! I checked into this hotel and I had 20 -20 US dollar bills ($400us dollars). This money was in my wallet, which I never carry with me outside of a hotel. I have reals (Brazilian dollars) and a credit card that I carry in my pocket for going around town. One night before my departure from the hotel ((Pousada Paraiso Do Cumbuco) (I counted my bills and there was 13, I was confused...did I spend money somewhere, I know I didn't. The next day i went kite surfing and came back to my room and there was now 10 - 20$ bills in my wallet. I confronted the owner and had a friend that speaks Portuguese explain the situation. They said they have never had a situation occur like this in their 3 year ( remember now that they have a 14 yr old boy living on the site who acted very strange to me). My Portuguese friend explained the entire situation to them in their language and they did nothing. The hotel is gated and no one can come in or out without the knowledge of the family running the hotel. After speaking with my friend that spoke to them, they wanted to say that, " gringo's come and go out to the disco tech and spend money and don't remember. 1- I never took my US dollars out of my wallet, and there is not a cambio (money exchange) in Cumbuco. I went over the situation with the owner and his other son who speaks some English. They said they would do nothing about the situation. I told them that it was the young boy who stole the money and they refused to address the situation. I carry the US dollars only for emergency and never take it out. This was the first time in Brazil that I did not hide my wallet. It was a family run place and I thought it would be safe. The pockets of my back pack were open as well other things disturbed. I am a very experienced traveler who let my guard down when feeling safe. Traveling lesson for me. There is no doubt in my kind that the teenage son of the family stole my money. The manner that he stole from me twice is purely indication. I did not say anything the first time because I was confused. But the second time was purely unbelievable. The owner refused to investigate the situation or do anything. Do not ever stay here and risk your valuables because this family has a young boy thief. I could care less about writing reviews. I what happened, it's obvious, and I am trying to protect others. If you speak English???? This place is a compound! There is no one coming in without the family knowing. I asked them not to clean my room the three nights I stayed there as well. Stay way!!! It's not a lot of money, but it is...

Pedimos aos colaboradores Carlos e Rai muito disponiveis mas sem autorizaçao de tomar providencias (assim diziam), e avisamos o gerente Fred (ausente por 1 dia, vinha de vez em quando por algumas horas), mas a agua ficou fria nos primeiros 4 dias. |Gerente Fred pouco se importa pela estadia, pessimo gerente.|So' depois de insistir dizendo que colocaria tudo no internet, tivemos o chuveiro morno. |Conhecemos um casal em lua de mel e nem pra eles foram feito o "kit lua de mel" (ele tinha reservado o serviço), que nas fotos no site tinha tudo. Chuveiro frio pra eles tbem.|Um outro rapaz viajando a trabalho, mudou de pousada, pois sem internet ele nao podia ficar. Estava tbem com chuveiro frio.|Carlos e Rai (caseiros) muito atenciosos.|Pousada nao aconselhavel. Cafe' da manha contado nao podia repetir, a camareira diz que o gerente quer assim, que por sua vez diz que o dono quer assim. Um empurra empurra, um da a culpa no outro.|Limpeza muito basica, lençol e toalha velhos, os interruptores para acender a luz sao nojentos amarelados e cheio de pegadas de dedos. |Internet so' funcionou nos 2 primeiros dias, e a TV a cabo nao tem.|Longe do centrinho pra quem ta' a pé. Melhor usar taxi se é a noitinha. Lugar desolado, ermo.|Ficamos uma semana pois ja estava reservado daqui da Italia.
