We have been staying in Vira Canoa since 2009 but this time we got quite disappointed. We rented 6 rooms and, regardless of being a big group and loyal clients , they refused us free pool towels, rain umbrellas and hot water for tea. Here are the details of these quite unbelievable situations:||Around 4pm, we asked for hot water in the reception since my mother in law was sick and we wanted to make a tea for her. The receptionists not only told me they can’t do it but she even tried to help finding a solution. How can a hotel does not offer hot water / tea for clients in the middle of the afternoon, especially when they are sick in their stomachs?||Another situation with the umbrella: it was raining like crazy and we asked for an umbrella to get to the cab since my aunt is 70 and can’t get rain in her head and get sick. The receptionist said they don’t have umbrellas to land . What kind of hotel does not have umbrellas to land to clients, especially when it’s rainy season? Quite disrespectful..||And lost but not least, we asked for a pool towel per guest and we got informed we couldn’t get one unless we would pay. Again, quite disappointing to having to pay for pool towel when you are renting...
Read moreGreat location being only a few minutes walk to all the town beaches and the main street of Pituba with it's restaurants, shops and bars. The pousada itself is stylish and boutique(more so than it's neighbour Terra Boa)with a pool you can actually swim in and water like a bath when I was there. The staff are all friendly and ready to help, but if you don't speak Portuguese you might have a few communication problems. The negatives :the showers in the rooms need to be upgraded , the hot water was a bit hit and miss and varied from trickle to moderate trickle, also the breakfast was pretty average compared to previous years, they used to have the kitchen open so you could get an omelette or snack but this seems to have been moved to the pousada next door with the resultant drop in service. If the managment can address these problems, it would be back to 5 stars. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives, this a great place to chill and relax and is still one of the best...
Read moreOverall, our experience was very positive. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, courteous, and attentive. Lai, Laura, Reinaldo, and Naiara deserve special recognition for their professionalism and constant willingness to assist. One concern, however, was the use of two single beds placed together to form a double. While this arrangement may be convenient for the administration, it was somewhat uncomfortable for us and led to back discomfort. Additionally, on some mornings, we noticed considerable noise from staff and guests conversing early in the day, which disrupted the tranquility of our stay, particularly for those staying at the units 20 and 14. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options, and the team was consistently prompt, attentive, and accommodating with...
