This Pousada is awesome! The breakfast here is awesome too, plus they have a cute little bar and a great souvenir shop. The Pousada is only a 2 minute walk from where the boats drop you off from the mainland - just walk straight ahead off the pier, you will see a small supermarket straight ahead, turn right and the Pousada is right there. The rooms are fine, they all have a fridge, TV (local channels only in Portuguese), a bathroom and linen. 1 downfall is that the towels are very old and thin so not so good. The owner of the Pousada was soooo helpful, he helped us arrange boat trips, did our washing for free, allowed us to use his internet for free and even arranged an extra early breakfast for us on the day we had to leave before breakfast was served (from 8-10am). Also the price for drinks at the Pousada's bar and in the mini-bars in the rooms is the same as the supermarket that is right next door - pretty good value Please note that the Pousada only takes Visa or cash (no other creditcards). I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

Very relaxed ambiance. The pousada is very near the ferry dock (go straight in front of you, then first right, you've arrived!). ||We shared our shower with some interesting little insects (no mosquitoes though). Very clean room. They even arranged to add a bed for our baby, and didn't charge us for the A/C.||Nice bar across the 'road' (the track), very relaxed. This is a family-run business, so I gathered. Amazing value, amazing people,...
Read moreI must agree that it is the best pousada I have ever stayed in Brazil. They pay attention on every detail. The owner personally runs the pousada. It is very clean, it has air conditioning, mini bar, even mosquito repellent are supplied. The location is great, just near the pier, restaurants and beaches. The breakfast is the best part. It is delicious! Ask for the “Fuba Cake” or the “Banana Pie”. I stayed there on Easter and when we opened the door, there was a basket full of chocolates. They think on every single detail to make a pleasant stay. It is really recommended and it is not expensive. I want to go back...
