This characterful small pousada is a two minute stroll from the beach and the Tamar project. It is relaxed, simple, calm, spotlessly clean and reasonably priced - with comfortable beds. We had a family room for three as were were travelling with our ten year old son. Thoughtful touches included the full length mirror, hairdryer, fluffy clean towels and a safe in our wardrobe. Everything suited us perfectly. There was a great buffet breakfast and you could order drinks or home cooked food in the dining room at any time. Each room has it's own little porch or balcony and a hammock to chill out in. During our stay, my husband needed a doctor and the staff were prompt to act (even with our limited Portuguese…) calling the owner and her daughter - both impeccable English speakers, who came to the rescue immediately. This is a charming family run inn - not a fancy luxury chain hotel and so much the better! If we ever return to Praia do Forte we will definitely stay at the Pousada...
Read moreWhat an absolutely delightful boutique hotel. The initial impression is welcoming - open and airy with a tropical ambiance. The room! It’s rustic in a good way and whatever room fragrance the housekeeper uses is so fantastic that I asked the front desk and they shared both the source and a little of the liquid itself so I could enjoy it at home. Unfortunately I was carryon only and was limited to the amount. The restaurant is great. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Breakfast is a special treat. Room is quite large with a king size bed and all the facilities you need. There's a small balcony with a brazilian net. Wifi reachs the room. The breaksfast is amazing with several options of bahia's typical food. Crew is always up to your needs.
