Offers quite simple accommodation in a good location convenient for beaches and town, and in a pleasant, clean and quiet setting. Most basic things are fine: cleanliness of rooms, air-con, shower, friendly staff etc. The room was small but had a pleasant balcony with hammock.||||The pousada seems quite over-priced however, for example, we later paid not very much more per night for a 5-star hotel in nearby Recife. Maybe Porto de Galinhas is just relatively expensive as a whole, however. It was just Pousada-style comfort. There was very little furniture in room, one drawer and half a wardrobe with 3 hangers and when we asked for more said there were none, so we didn't bother unpacking. Internet seemed of poor quality and stopped forever 1.5 days into 3 day stay, without explanation. Breakfast was very simple on flimsy plastic tables, with not much on offer, and the staff not very well-trained (first time in a hotel I have ever received one scrambled egg, singular, though quickly corrected!) One irritation was arriving at 7.30am in a shower with heavy bags, and finding staff had allowed so many guests' cars in front grassy area (already muddy) it was almost impossible to reach path to access reception. ||||However, all-in-all it is a very pleasant and convenient place to stay, and perhaps not really too expensive for a popular...
Read moreWe were extremely impressed with this posada. The room had 2 double beds and a flat screen tv with aircon, was immaculately clean and the breakfast was very interesting and included in the very reasonable room rate. The chef will cook eggs any way you like for breakfast and I really enjoyed trying their tapioca pancakes. A great selection of fresh fruit and juices as well. ||||Good location for the beach and main tourist drag (a walk of a few blocks). The beach is nice and you can hire beach chairs and buy cheap cold coconuts. ||||If you are not from the area then I would recommend really planning your drive and getting a decent paper map or updated GPS. We had a GPS/Navman with our rental car and it was not updated, so it was a real hassle getting to Porto de Galinhas. The new bridge/road was not in the GPS and it misspelt the name of the street the posada was on was misspelt. Brazil also doesn't appear to believe in signage at intersections so driving to and from Porto de Galinhas from Recife was a...
Read moreLocated within walking distance of the centre of Porto de galinhas, Lua Azul offers a quality bed with relaxing surroundings. The beach is within 5minites walk, there is a nice pool area for those lazy days and the staff are very helpful if u need to get around the local area using tour guides etc.|The only downside was the breakfast, although you could get a stomachful before the day out, I didn't find myself enjoying the produce which was lacking in optimist, tried the cereal one morning which was soft (old)....the breakfast staff were great, the food not so much.|All.in all, great value for...
