Not completely sure where all the 5* ratings come from. On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly female employee. Check-in was fast and we received the key to our room early morning. That was a nice surprise. The room is small, and basic, and the a/c has problems keeping the room cool. The bathroom is smaller than my toilet at home. Overall cleaning is bad. How difficult can it be to vacuum the floors in the elevators? Breakfast was ok and not more than that. The staff in the restaurant were all in a bad mood. The reception staff didn't even bother to look up when entering the hotel. We booked for 7 nights with different bookings but left after 2. I have to say that the price was good. The neighborhood looks a bit shady but we liked it and never felt unsafe. The young friendly lady at check-in and check-out deserves 5 stars, and the hotel 1. So, 3...

Okay-ish hotel in a very dirty and seedy area of Rio. For me it’s nothing bohémien to watch drunk or stoned homeless people yelling and sleeping outside your hotel. Breakfast inside was good, rooms too small for the price paid. Cleaning was not very deep, bathroom had mold and cobwebs everywhere. Staff tried their best to accommodate you. I can’t say enough good things about the front desk staff at Days Inn by Wyndham in Rio de Janeiro! Thiago, Nicolas and Nico are absolute gems who really allowed me to feel comfortable. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make my stay seamless and enjoyable. They were not only professional and efficient but also incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. Their attentiveness and hospitality made a great trip even better. I regret not having any cash on me at the time to leave a tip but i hope this review shows just how much I appreciate them.
