Pousada do Almirante — Hotel in Região Imediata de Caraguatatuba-Ubatuba-São Sebastião

We didn't know Juquhey, but decided to take our 9mth old for a weekend. Looking through TA as well as other well known booking sites we were at a loss.. Everyone had something negative ti say about Everywhere! So I rang a few up, and asked them about facilities. One thing very important that we didnt even imagine...many, and I mean the majority, of pousadas DO NOT welcome children under the age of 10. Almirante went out of their way to welcome us and our baby. 150mts to the beach|.walking distance to restaurants...beach service for towels chairs etc...then a lovely albeit small pool that even had a mini baby sized pool next to it. The room was great...silent even if 1m from the front desk! Staff were excellent especially Daiane, Giselle the breakfast girls the bar men and the beach service! The breakfast included is hearty with plenty of options. The room large with a microwave sink and fridge... Its not the cheapest option. ..but you definitely get value for the extra 100 reais! Definitely would...

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times with my family. About 150 meters from the beach. It's not on the main street, which is even better, because it's quite. I love their breakfasts and has everything you need. Staff is friendly, very nice pool. If your room faces the pool it may be noisy when people are swimming in the evenings. We always try to stay in rooms #1 and 3 as they face the parking outside. Prices are very reasonable and almost twice lower than the hotels from the main street. They have issues with the wifi as it worked only close to the reception. It doesn't have an elevator and if you are staying on the 2nd floor you will have to carry your luggage. Each room has kitchen and microwaves. It's nothing fancy, but we love this place and will...

.... my portugués isn't up to a full review 😕 Arrived here direct from London (via Guarulhos) so needed a place to unwind. This was perfect. Both the pousada and Juquehy itself were ideal. The rooms are a good standard, meticulously maintained and cleaned. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Of course Juquehy has good restaurants but the food out of the pousada kitchen was as good as anything I ate outside. The beach is a short stroll away, with pousada provided shades, chairs etc. The pousada breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day. I highly recommend the Almirante and would definitely stay...
