Guest Urban Hotel — Hotel in Região Imediata de São Paulo

The room is beyond tiny- there is no room even to place luggage. There is no closet at all, only 3 hangars on the wall. Bathroom is small and only given 1 bottle of soap and shampoo. The hand basin is less than a foot square - really the smallest I have ever seen, even smaller than the ones in children's washrooms. The shower area is probably less than 3 feet in length and breadth, making it hard to get in if you are on the generous side and a little dangerous since the little shelf is rusty- just might get cut there. (See photos)||There were no hairdryer or shower cap gin the room. So I guess you are expected to go about or sleep with dripping wet hair. It was really cold the night we checked in. We were Glad that we stayed only 1 night here. Next day, I saw a couple of hairdryers in a cupboard at the reception (but am not sure if it is free or there is a fee attached). Water is payable by the way. As we arrived really late, we were not given any choice but to buy water from the reception.||We got a room on the first floor. It is not sound proof so we heard the staff setting up breakfast early in the morning as well as guests talking at 1 am. ||The only good thing in this hotel is the comfortable bed. Unfortunately, unless you wear ear plugs, it would be hard to sleep in with the really morning clatter.||It is trying to be hipster with the industrial design but it is not worth the price at all. This is less than a B and B. ||Breakfast was really basic, and unfortunately both my son and I got a little sick from the food.||Definitely not recommended unless you are desperate. Or you need to stay...

Check in process is such a mess, time consuming, complicated and not well designed. You have to fill check in form, put your document photos, choose what you want to eat in the breakfast in advance. When you arrive to place after 6pm, you need to do wait 5-10 mins to receptionist to open the door remotely to you, then you need to register yourself the face recognition system to be able go go out and come into hotel. Of your are coming after 6pm, you have to do all those steps by yourself and partially remote support. Steps are not working very well and so annoying.

Rooms are pretty standard and our rooms was smelling chemical like painted couple of hours ago. The windows are very well designed but no locker on sliding windows which feels a bit unsecure, and you can almost hear all the noise outside.

Breakfast was kind of hostel breakfast. Although they asked what we want to eat in check in steps, they wanted to have new orders(apparently check in process is not working well or not communicating between staff).

Location is pretty good and 90€ for twin room is expensive for...

Hotel com localização excelente, a meia quadra da praça Benedito Calixto. O conceito do hotel é muito bacana: uma vibe cosmopolita, intimista e com um mix de elementos urbanos e vintage - o que realmente cria uma atmosfera bem interessante - porém, não funciona. O tamanho dos quartos e dos banheiros é realmente bem pequeno - o que me incomodou um pouco. Mas o que realmente deixa a desejar é o atendimento. Atendentes despreparados e mal-humorados. Na recepção tanto o Bruno quanto a Mariana não se demonstraram solícitos, não tinham nem um sorriso no rosto para nos receber, o que acredito que seja uma coisa muito simples e elementar num primeiro atendimento: um sorriso no rosto e demonstrar interesse em recepcionar bem o hóspede. Café da manhã com pouca variedade, mas se os produtos fossem de qualidade acredito que não seria um problema, só que o pão não é bom, no segundo dia a impressão que deu é que serviram a sobra do pão francês do dia anterior pois ele estava duro e ressecado. O mamão não estava bom. No primeiro dia o café da manhã estava ok, mas não vá tomar café da manhã próximo ao horário de encerramento pois você não encontrará mais nada para comer - chegamos para o café as 9:45 e já tinha acabado tudo: não tinha mais pão, nem bolo, nem queijo, nem frutas para repor. No segundo dia era folga de uma funcionária e só tinha uma moça no café (que inclusive tivemos que chamar na recepção pois ela não estava lá quando chegamos pro café) - menina totalmente despreparada, não tinha iniciativa de resolver nada - funcionária Claudia, ou Claudiane. Li comentários de hóspedes que se incomodaram com barulho, não tive esse problema, mas deu pra perceber que você precisa garantir os melhores quartos se não quiser ter problemas com barulhos de vizinhos e dos próprios funcionários do hotel - tive a impressão que o hotel tem quartos mal localizados e sem isolamento acústico. Também acho que tive sorte de não ter vizinhos de quarto barulhentos, pois o chão é de madeira e realmente se tiverem hóspedes barulhentos isso vai incomodar. Os proprietários precisam treinar a equipe e deixar uma pessoa responsável para gerenciar a equipe e estar disponível para atender bem às solicitações dos hóspedes. Pelo que percebi e conversei com os funcionários, a rotatividade de funcionários de lá é muito grande. Quando fizemos o check-out a Mariana estava ensinando um novo funcionário a mexer no sistema da pior forma possível para treinar um novo funcionário. Uma pena ter um lugar tão bacana e na mão de funcionários...
