Reached the hotel late at 11 pm for a 5-night stay booked through a local tour operator. The hotel, for some strange reason has blocked direct access to its portico and the cabs are forced to park on the crowded road and let passengers out. The cab stops near the kerb, and the passenger encounters flowing drain water. He steps into the dirty water and drags his luggage over the water, and finally reaches the entrance of the hotel. At 11 pm, there was no one to welcome me, so the heavy luggage had to dragged to the reception desk by me and my wife. This was my first encounter with the hotel.||Restaurant / room service was not available and I was handed a leaflet of a nearby pizzeria which listed the items available on order but no price was mentioned. A huge scam, but the unfortunate guest, coming after a tiresome flight across several continents is too tired to argue or discuss all this nonsense. Now the room. Oo la la!! A huge mistake. A starred hotel which does not have proper wardrobe / cupboard in the rooms. A rod is provided. Hang your clothes on that in the open. Advance payment has already been made. So one can't just show one's middle finger and walk out. No sir. Now enjoy your stay in Sao Paolo, while sleeping in this dump. Two cans of water are provided per day, each can not even 500 ml. So two people staying in the room will have access to 750 ml of drinking of water per day. Want more? Pay of course!! A complicated series of instructions which the traveler might not bother to read results in housekeeping not changing sheets and towels everyday. The meagre quota of tea / sugar / milk sachets will not be replaced everyday. A huge coffee machine is provided but no water is there to fill it. Wow! simply wow! My first impression of Brazil. Is the entire country like that? Thankfully not. ||On the plus side, the complimentary breakfast is substantial but monotonous, with no change in the food items on any given day. The staff are friendly, cooperative and cheerful, but helpless against an incompetent management. Due to some system error, the room key cards go dead off and on, so one cannot access the lift and one's own room. I think out of my 5 nights stay, I had the key cards "revived" at least 4 times. ||My only advice for prospective guests is: STAY AWAY, or face multiple issues of harassment and...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located, with supermarkets and eateries nearby, and it's just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the Jardins area. The hotel is clean and modern, although it is basic. My room was small and compact, adequate for a short stay, but it didn't feel like a luxury hotel. The bed was comfortable; however, the shower compartment was small and cramped, making it challenging to move around, and the toiletries were not replenished. I had my supplies, so it wasn't a significant issue.||Breakfast was included in my rate, and I tried it my first morning. The breakfast buffet had a limited range of foods. However, I chose not to have it during the following two days due to the minimal range of foods available, and the breakfast ended quite early at 10 a.m. Plenty of eateries are nearby, including an excellent brunch spot just half a minute's walk down...
Read moreI did two check out, i ask many times for invoice, then they said three days by email after check-out. Here I am, guest are not silly persons. They never give invoice,so make guest pay lower price for the room because you made them pay taxes and then the hotel dont pay nothing about them, so if You don't give invoice, lets make a good business for the two parts, You don't pay taxes i don't care, but make me pay less, You took more money from guest in taxes concept and then you don't give invoice. We are not stupid. I were at the end of the floor and in my room don't work internet because....they have two routers in each floor outside the rooms close to the elevators, thats not good, i saw guest outside the room calling by WhatsApp because the have no internet signal inside the...
