I've been staying in this hotel for more than 15 years (The name and the management changed a few times). It was a great hotel until some years ago, but it seems to hardly move onwards. It's pretty much the same as it was ten years ago.||The breakfast is so-so. Was way better.||The staff got relaxed - in a negative way - they don't really seems to be there to help you to have a good stay. Some of them are quite lazy, too. Not all of them are like this, though.||It's not that expensive - not cheap, also.||It has a terrible point: the internet in the room is paid. R$20 (about US$10) for 24 hours, or R$5 (US$2.50) for 1 hour. It seems that it's free in the lounge, but the ambient is just not pleasant, so I didn't even tried.||The location is ok. Quite near a subway station (around 4 minutes walking), but everything around closes really early (after 9pm, it doesn't seems to be a nice idea to go out). There's a small market crossing the street. There's no restaurant near.||The bedroom is nice, large, with a good a/c, but some of the objects are too old, not really in good shape. The TV is bad, few channels and a...
Read moreI stayed during the World Cup. ||||The hotel is quite accessible for wheelchairs. Rooms 1110 and 1112 are accessible, providing roll-in shower and a lot of space to roll around. Big issue: the toilet does NOT have space at its side to place your wheelchair, you need to put the wheelchair in front to transfer.||||Good location, right next to the city's downtown; pretty close to Stock Exchange and Vale do Anhangabau. Subway and train stations pretty close. Yet, I wouldn't recommend to walk around the neighbourhood at night.||||Outstanding breakfast: eggs, cakes, fruits, ham, cheese, all kinds if bread; there even was an employee checking the temperature of the food! I also enjoyed having lunch and dinner.||||Wifi almost did not work at all. Had to connect from lobby; as I had no signal on the room. It was frustrating trying to connect my devices; there were a couple of PCs but Internet did not work good.||||Employees were pretty kind but none of them spoke other language but portuguese so communication was sometimes difficult. ||||All in all, a very good hotel...
Read moreCheck in was pretty fast (however when was chucking out I saw a long queue of people waiting to check in. The room was tidy and with a nice view and got 2 double beds instead of one. Not the newest furniture and I got a bit of an allergic reaction even though everything looked pretty clean. Needed technical help to use the safe that was locked and they were efficient and fast. There’s plenty of rooms in the hotel and sometimes you might end up waiting a few minutes to use the lift. Busy breakfast and food is altight. Near tube station and quite central. Been warned by a member of staff not to use my phone outside while waited for my Uber, this was at 4 PM after I came back to collect my bags with a very nice and friendly guy. I would stay again because of price and central location. However, I wouldn’t recommend walking in the area at night and/or...
