The location and convenience to airport was great, but our experience with the food and the room cleaning wasnt that good… We paid for 2 nights, but we stayed just one night because we wanted to do a late check out and they didnt have the option, so we ended up paying for 1 extra night and breakfast, even though we didnt stay or had that breakfast!!
On the day we arrived, we had lunch and dinner. The dinner, for our disappointment, was almost the same as lunch, except that the food was much dryer and they were mostly just left overs from lunch that were heated up! The chicken was the exact same, the pasta too and the fried yucca was so bad - it was probably fried for lunch and they heated it up for dinner… we were not happy, but paid for it.
Then, when we got to our room, I noticed a chocolate wrap under our bed which was not ours. We had travelled, we were tired after a long car ride and we contacted the front desk… We didnt want to change rooms, we had lots of luggage and we were exhausted… they offered dinner, which we already had and had paid for already (they said they could NOT give a refund) … I called the next day to see how they would handle the situation because nobody contacted me afterwards…well, they offered ONE free lunch, but we were on our way out to see friends for lunch (we had plans), so we were treated with free transportation to the airport -$20 reais and 3 candy bars as an apology… that’s all! We weren’t thrilled by the way they handled the situation…
The room ventilation wasnt great either… we werent able to set the temperature to our desired temperature, even after a technician came to our room.
As I have mentioned, we paid for 2 nights, stayed just one because we just needed a late check out that they didnt guarantee, but I thought the hotel could have handled the issues better… we paid for the services, we paid 2 nights… we got 3 small candy bars and $20 reais van - that’s...

Read moreWe stayed at Ibis Guarulhos for one night before our GRU-MIA flight and another night before our GRU-SCL flight. The hotel offers an hourly shuttle service from the airport, which is very convenient. However, some of the drivers can be impatient—if you're not ready or don’t have the exact hotel address at hand, they may get frustrated and leave, almost stranding you at the airport. This nearly happened to us the second time we arrived at GRU and waited for the shuttle—the driver almost drove off without us. I'm not sure if this is the hotel's fault or the shuttle service provider’s.||Our first stay was not the best experience. My husband got locked in the bathroom because the door was in poor condition, which was frustrating. However, due to the hotel's proximity to the airport and affordable price, we decided to stay here again before our flight to Santiago.||Fortunately, our second stay was much better. The room was significantly better than the first one, and the front desk staff was very friendly during check-in. The hotel also has a small restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, which is convenient.||In addition to the free shuttle from the airport, the hotel offers a shuttle back to the airport for 10 BRL per person, which is a useful option for travelers.||We were a family of three, including our 10-year-old daughter, and the room was comfortable for us.||Overall, while the hotel has its downsides, it is a practical and budget-friendly choice for a short stay near GRU Airport. If they improved the shuttle service experience and room maintenance, it would be a much...
