Downtown Bansko Resort — Hotel in Bansko

Visited Downtown Bansko with a large group of friends for a week of skiing. Apartments are well located just a short walk from the gondola and ski hire yet far enough away to be quiet at bed time. However we arrived to no working lift and had to climb three flights of stairs with all our gear.|The site is a long way from finished, surrounded by builders fencing with just a small gap to enter. The apartments initially seem very well done but look closely and you’ll see that toilets aren’t properly bolted down and there are lots of holes for plumbing and generally bad finishing. In both apartments we stayed in the baths leaked creating a dangerously slippy floor. There was also a small step out of the bathroom that was quite dangerous. |I injured my knee skiing and they were very good moving us to an apartment where the lift did work (though the lift should have worked in the first place.)|Once injured I was unable to leave the apartment as the haphazard clearance of snow led to thick ice on the pathways which was not great...

Spent first week in February at the resort. Very comfortable apartment with bedroom, large bathroom/shower room and comfortable lounge area with balcony. Very close to the Gondola with restaurants and supermarket nearby. A 5 mini mute walk to the Gondola station. Although some new construction still in progress with refurbishment the resort was ideal...
