This small, family-run guesthouse offers a convenient base for short stays in Bansko. Located just off the town’s main promenade and nightlife district, it provides easy access to everything essential. The ski lift is about a 10–12 minute walk away, making it a practical choice for skiers and visitors exploring the area. The family personally takes care of guests with warmth and dedication, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay for one or two nights, this is a solid option. However, if you’re planning a longer vacation where accommodation plays a key role in relaxation and comfort, you may want to explore other choices.
Arriving by car requires some planning, as parking in the narrow streets of Bansko’s old town is extremely limited. It’s worth setting aside a small budget for a privately run parking lot just three minutes away. There is no breakfast service, and the space that once seemed to function as a restaurant or bar hasn’t seen guests in a long time. The kitchen remains closed, meaning guests have to rely on the many cafés and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood for meals.
The rooms are very basic, furnished with an eclectic mix of seemingly random pieces. The bathrooms are designed as fully open wet rooms, meaning there is no separation between the shower, toilet, and sink. As a result, the entire bathroom gets soaked when showering. If you need to use the toilet afterward, be prepared for wet floors—wearing socks is not advisable. Everything placed in the bathroom, from a razor to a toothbrush or perfume bottle, ends up damp as well. Since there is no housekeeping service, the only way to dry the bathroom is to let it air out overnight.
Given the lack of amenities such as breakfast or in-room conveniences, this property feels more like a guesthouse or pension rather than a hotel. It’s an acceptable option for budget-conscious travelers staying briefly, but those looking for comfort and convenience should consider other...
Read moreThe hotel is cheap, located in the center of the town and provides acceptable accommodation. However, the breakfast was horrible (not a buffet). You get given what every they make and it is not enough. The older manager is also not a man of his word. He agreed to drive us to the Gondola station prior to our arrival and then told us that we should leave our skiis and boots near the gondola station (+pay for wardrobe hire) and walk to and from the gondola station from the hotel or drive from the hotel and park at the gondola station (12 levs per day). For the extra money we would have paid for parking at night, parking at the gondola station and paying for our skii equipment we went to another hotel nearby for the difference in money and got a regular shuttle to and from the gondola and an underground parking for free. Definitely do not recommend this hotel as much better is available for a...
