Mountain Paradise — Hotel in Bansko

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mountain Paradise hotel in Bansko, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, it was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. The rooms were a haven for germs, with dirty and broken old furniture and disgusting toilets that would make you want to hold it in until you leave. The food was not only poor, but it seemed to have been sitting out since the last millennium. I'm not sure if the hotel is trying to go for a medieval vibe, but the stale beer served at the all-inclusive light program certainly added to the ambiance.

The hotel staff seemed to have mastered the art of indifference, which made me wonder if they were all secretly rooting for the downfall of the hotel. However, the only ray of sunshine in this depressing experience was the guy at the bar and the girl at the reception. He was the only one who seemed to care about the guests and their experience. The girl at the reception was quite nice and helpful, too. And her friendly demeanor was a welcome change from the rest of the staff's apathy.

Overall, if you're looking for a hotel that provides the perfect balance of old and disgusting, then Mountain Paradise is the place for you. But if you have any shred of self-respect or basic hygiene standards, then I would recommend avoiding this place...

We stayed in this hotel last weekend, and I would write a completely different review if it was a 2 or 3 star accommodation, but it was identified as 4, so I am pretty disappointed. The reception was a 3 star hotel, the stuff friendly but did not speak English. The elevator needs repair. The room was spacious, comfortable and well heated. The pillows were thought impossible, I seriously couldn't sleep. !!! And we found out that a decorative pillow had a very suspicious stain on!!! The bathroom was also ok, wish there was more toilet paper, we asked for more, never got any. It was very noisy because of the thin walls. We never used the SPA, so I won't say something about it. The restaurant looks nothing like on photos, not even remotely, the tables were dirty and the food was just horrible. The breakfast was basic but badly cooked. The dinner was sad, just sad, 3 salads, 3 main course, 2 side dishes, 1 sad pasta, 1 desert, nothing to drink, no choices for vegetarians, and everything so badly cooked, without any taste. Don't get me wrong, we still had great time in Bansko occupied with many activities. I find that the hotel was cheap. And I understand that this is what you get for that amount of money.
