This hotel is one big NO! For people wanting a decent holiday.|-elevator not reliable at all. Max is 600kg. 3 of us wanted to use the elevator together with our luggages and it started bipping. I’m sorry but we are not that heavy. We all ended up using stairs at all times |-“Sport and wellness” - there’s no sport bit in this hotel as the gym is terrible, all dirty, but most importantly - all broken|- a spa hotel? - no spa hotel ever makes you pay for towels, slippers and dressing gowns, yet this one did. But “it’s a hotels policy”. |- all staff is very rude and impolite which is not the staff a 4* hotel would be expected to have|- there’s no labels on food, so people are left with eating something they don’t know what is it|- there is a “Bulgarian alcoholic drink” available with dinner, however there are many Bulgarian drinks such as vodka, gin, rum, etc. However, they limited it to only wine or rakia. When I wanted white wine they said they don’t have it. When I wanted a soft drink instead, they said I can’t have it unless I pay for it extra. Even though soft drinks are cheaper than the alcohol. |- “dry lunch” - on their website(and their menu in the hotel) you can find that the lunch is an open table but it’s “dry” as there’s no drinks. However, they gave us a stupid sandwich with ham and cheese that they made from the leftovers from breakfast, with a cake bar, fruit and water. When I asked about something vegetarian they said that’s the only option. They said you have paid for it and it’s your choice to take it or not take it. This resulted to me going to a restaurant and spending money on top of my already paid lunch. |-I picked this 4* hotel and decided they would be able to cater to my food preferences as this is a 4* hotel and that’s expectable. However, they failed. |- on our last night we came back from town and we wanted to enjoy one more drink in the lobby. There were many other people that were staying in the hotel, however, there wasn’t anyone to attend them. We were ringing bells, calling phones, knocking on doors and all that to attract some staff. This was at 10:30pm. 4* hotel- no staff available. |-we were told to leave the hotel by 12pm OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA. After our breakfast we wanted to go and enjoy a bit of spa which opens at 8am. We went at 9:50 and all of the spa facilities were switched off. We had to ask them to turn them on and they said it will take 10 min to heat up. Steam room was pretty quick but the rest took forever. When we asked the lady why is the “jacuzzi” not working she came and turned it on. Then we asked why is the sauna not heated up she first answered “which one did you wanted to use” as she turned only one on. We paid for spa not for a certain sauna lol. Anyway she quickly came back saying that the sauna is hot, but she was wearing a jumper so obviously it would be hot for her. Anyway it wasn’t any more than 30 degrees, sauna has to be between 70 and 80. Anyway, the spa is meant to open at 8 and if that was the case there wouldn’t be a problem. |-the pool is very small and the jacuzzi bit is pathetic |-the room was very hot and it was hard to sleep in. The heating system is too old and hard to regulate |-the shower curtain are so short that they don’t serve any purpose in the bathroom||Overall, if this was any other respectful hotel, they would have offered ways to compensate and make us happy, they didn’t even bother asking if the stay was okay, probably because they knew the answer, or because they wasn’t bothered. ||If anyone wants a nice holiday in a 4* hotel,...

Read moreDon't know where to start exactly. We did read some of the negative reviews for this hotel, but we thought they were exaggerated. We chose this hotel for the fact that it was the only one that had 17 rooms free for our big ski gathering this year.||We checked-in at about 16:00 and when we entered the room we were impressed by how big it was (bedroom, living room, and 2 walk in closets) but than we walked into the bathroom. First thing that caught my eye were the toothpaste stains on the sink faucets and the 3 cm ring of dirt all around the inside of the bathtub, so we said ok, lets take a closer look at the suite.||Going into the bed room we were horrified to find the sheets with big mold stains, mold stains on the wall and ceilling and lipstick marks on the "clean glasses". We tried calling the reception but the phone was not working so we took one of the glasses and went straight to reception. We explained our situation and the receptionist called housekeeping with no answer. He told us everything will be fixed as soon as possible.||Fast forward 40 minutes and I go back to the reception telling the receptionist I just need some clean sheets, we will change them ourselves, the answer was "no no, we will fix it". Another 20 minutes go by and the receptionist, the actual guy working in the reception of the hotel comes with clean sheets to change them (my conclusion was at 16:30 they had no housekeeping personnel in the hotel).||We stayed for a total of 5 nights and I want to point out that only the towels have been changed from time to time, no other form of cleaning, forget vacuum or dusting...||I can go on and on about the bad quality of food, the night shift in the reception etc...||Bottom line this was the worst experience ever...not in Bansko, just EVER !||We did not expect 4 stars, but we at least expected common sense, basic things that even a 2 star hotel should provide...i.e Clean Rooms !||I always used TripAdvisor, but never joined. After the experience we had, I decided to join just to warn others of this hotel and...
