We stayed at Nevada Hotel for 3 nights, on January 2013. Overall we were very satisfied by the services||||The good:||1. big studio, just like in photos, with double bed, a 2-seat sofa, an armchair, small dinner table, kitchen with microwave oven. the studio is very confortable, large in size, with contemporary decoration.||2. Always very warm, and with hot water all the time.||3. Very clean.||4. Hotel staff very helpful, with a smile on their faces all the time. All of the staff (cleaner, reception staff, restaurant staff) tried to help us with whatever we asked. And we communicated in english and russian with no difficulty.||5. the hotel is situated next to ski slope no7, but you need to walk on a steep hill or walk down some steep stairs from a nearby hotel for at least 5min to get to the slope. Perfect for ski lovers, otherwise, if you need to have a drink or go to a restaurant in the centre of pamporovo, it is rather far, so you definitely need to use a car, or take a taxi (about 10lev cost!!). You cannot walk to the centre.||6. Free wifi at restaurant and reception, wired free internet in studios.||7. We had dinner at the restaurant one night. The quality of the food was rather good (a mushroom soup, and an omelette), and the total price was cheaper than the prices at the restaurants in center of Pamporovo.||||The bad:||1. Although there is an indoor parking, you cannot leave the car there beacause in winter it is closed by the snow!! So you have to leave your car outside, in front of the hotel.||2. A kettle for boiling water would be helpful in kitchen.||3. Rather thin walls, you can hear your neighbours.||4. Something that is not the blame of the hotel, is that the road in front of the hotel is not cleaned by the authorities. That means tha you need winter tyres or snow chains just for the 300-500 metres until you get to the main road. All the other roads around Pamporovo are usually cleared off snow.||5. I would prefer a buffet for breakfast. Instead the breakfast is typical, but not small at all, having cheese, ham, butter, marmelade, boiled or scrampled eggs, tomatoes, cucumber. Everyday day it is somehow different, but the idea is more...
Read moreTerrible - Not recommended I don’t know from where to start. The whole hotel including the rooms has an unbearable smell of cigarettes. When we arrived the room was stinky so we opened the windows but then again the smell was back. We think that the smell came from ventilation. The staff - not helpful at all. They way they speak is like they are doing you a favour. The guy who escorted us to the room and carried our bag (we didn’t ask for it) he was not leaving the room until he was tipped. I have never seen this before…as if we are obliged to tip him for doing his job. We tip when we are happy with the provided service not because the staff demands to be tipped by not leaving the room. The room was cold. When I asked the lady at the reception why the heating is not working she was trying to explain something but we could barely understand what she was saying. She said the the heating turns on and off on it’s own based on the temperature. Whenever I touched the radiator it was always cold. We were shivering during the night as it was cold in the room and we couldn’t do anything about that. They have some stained bed duvets without cover in the wardrobe and of course we didn’t use them. We covered ourselves with our coats. Ridiculous. During the night the heating was off and I think that the lady was trying to say that it’s not cold and that we have to get used to this something like that. They state that the rooms are soundproof. This is a lie. I could hear the whole conversation from the guests staying exactly in the next room. Very noisy. Breakfast needs improvement. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. The only thing we liked is the view, the location and the hotel across the street - Sunny Hill (we used their sauna and jacuzzi). Better to give 100€ more than to stay in...
Read moreOur reservation this December was quite big - about 25 people in 6 apartments. We went to Pamporovo for the New Year celebration. ||Our overall experience was that the staff was more claiming, than the guests.||1. Firstly when we arrived a guy from our company was carrying the luggage while we were doing the registration, so he hadn't managed to check in at the time. The receptionist started to search for him all over the apartment building saying that if he don't register, he wouldn't have a place to sleep.||2. Then they made me move my car (it was parked in front of the hotel) with no alternative for parking and I needed to park my offroad vehicle on a parking lot where a Smart would hardly fit.. the next evening there were a lot of cars, parked where my car was initially.||3. During the first night the heating was switched off, and as the weather was cold (about -17C) the apartment has chilled out very quickly - I woke up in the middle of the night with a very bad cystitis, which made me take medicines for the rest of our stay. So take a electric heater with you if you stay in the in Nevada Hotel during the winter.||4. A girl from our company had placed her hotel towel in the wardrobe. Тhe lady from the cleaning staff didn't find one of the towels and that caused a real scandal, she was asking where the towel is, why is it missing and so on !?!||5. The food in the restaurant is quite expensive and pretty terrible.||6. You have to pay daily if you use the kitchen - I have traveled the world and this is the first place where they want me to pay for the kitchen which is in the reserved apartment..||Otherwise the apartments are nice and clean, well situated - walking distance...
