Hotel Azurro — Hotel in Nesebar

Unlike previous reviews, I will be comprehensive. After booking, I checked reviews and was dubious. Azzuro does not deserve it's bad reputation and poor reviews.

To address some of my concerns from previous reviews:

Food Yes, the food is a little greasy. But trays of fried eggs or bacon at breakfast, lamb dinner and pizza are completely expected issues. If you have ever been to other all-inclusive, you know exactly the thing I'm talking about. Breakfast No toast at breakfast is unusual, but there s a great fresh bread tray and plenty of honey/jam/preserve for that. Snack Pizza. Ice creams. But that's standard fare if you're skipping actual meals for a quick bite. Lunch Good selection of salads and meats. But would be repetitive if you're vegan/vegetarian... to address previous reviews, "why are you coming to an all inclusive if you're a picky eater? Do you expect restaurant quality food to be personally served according to your specific whim?" Dinner Good selection of random meat and veggie dishes. Heavy on the broccoli and lamb side, which is great for me. In a week, the only repeated dish was the lamb and mushrooms in a cream sauce, served twice for dinners and once for lunch. But it was delicious so I personally don't mind that. Desserts Kid stuff, blamange, custard etc in little pots and for adults, cake and baklava. No problem there. Lots of fruit at every meal including breakfast, mostly apple and orange.

Pool Loads of sunloungers, even spare stacks for just in case. Always found a shady or sunny spot without the need to get another. Plenty of parasols too. Pool is large enough unless the hotel was full of lilos. It wasn't. But I can see the concern of previous reviewers. I'm writing this on my last day and it's 3.20. About 10% of the loungers are in use. No problem.

Room Clean. Plenty of plug sockets (previous review reported 1, we had 5). Floor towel for getting out of the shower not changed, but does it need to be? Views not good, but i didn't pay or expect seafront. Local bars closed by midnight and what little music could be heard (when we left the balcony door open) was finished early. Aircon not working, but room remained a pleasant temperature despite the outside 28°C average.

Location Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around. Supermarket at front is closed, but there's one behind the place and a pool exit is open, so no problem getting out for extras. Beach is less than 5 mins out front, turning left then 1st right.

Other No lift. Restaurant is on 1st floor. No problem if can manage a single flight. Restaurant seating has sunny or shady outdoor options, as well as indoor. Breakfast is always in the shade due to location. Staff were a mixture of very friendly and hardworking (95%) and the usual few lazy summer bums who couldn't care less. Smoking and on phone while pretending to work (5%). This again, is normal for seasoned travellers to see. But I get why previous reviewers were shocked if their only prior travels were package holidays at large expense. Check in very fast, my friend had a walking stick so staff changed our room to ground floor of their own accord, informing us that they were doing so... you can't ask for more really. Staff happy to learn cocktail recipes and provide them (until we drained the bar of juice with people we met here). Beer good, a self serve tap is available at all mealtimes.

If you're looking for exactly what the price implies, you can't go wrong here. Don't be a picky eater and moan about the food you won't try. Ignore the odd staff hiding in a corner having a smoke, he isn't doing anyone any harm. And don't expect the best table at dinner if you turn up late.

It's early season and I don't turn up for food 5 mins before close. That may alter my perception. But honestly, the place is great and worth it's cost from my perspective.

The place also has a cat with the same name as the hotel who freely wanted a around with his collar and all inclusive band around his neck. Things like that improve the family/mature feel of the place. The free WiFi...

The real rate of this "Hotel" would be 0/5. I wouldn't recommend this location to anybody. I had the worst experience while staying here. We waited almost 2 hours for the check in, the lady from the reception was really slow because the job was reaaally over her limits. She scanned our IDs 2 times until she finally made it. The parking was far from the hotel and not included in "all inclusive" stuff, which actualy included food only. And let's talk about food. Was really plain and questionable, everyday was the same and the snacks were a piece of leftovers meat from lunch with bread or wannabe pasta. The coffee was not coffee, but instant coffee. The rooms were dirty and not taking care of. The cleaning lady was busting in without even knocking, they had a really rude and ignorant behaviour. And the icing on the cake was when we came back from the beach and the cleaning lady was in our room, telling us (in bulgarian) that we have to leave (so we were actually almost kicked out 1 day earlier because of a "system error"). This was really disturbing because they treat their clients really bad, evidently talking about you (even though we didn't understand them, we could see that) in front of you. Never coming back...

Не рекомендую отель Azurro к посещению. Отель на 3* не тянет и денег своих не стоит. Из плюсов: близкое расположение отеля к морю и к центру; Вид с балкона, если он выходит в сторону колеса обозрения); Своевременная уборка посуды, столов в ресторане; Вкусная еда. Минусов очень много. С первой минуты отель не понравился. Персонал не доброжелательный, в данном случае это касается возрастной женщины на ресепшн и мужчины в баре. Мы приехали к 9 часам утра, на ресепшн потребовали билет на автобус и паспорта, которые забрали у нас сразу же и выдали только при заселении в номер. При общении сложилось ощущение, будто мы преступники. Заселение осуществляется строго в 14:00, браслеты раньше этого времени так же не надевают, поскольку обед в день приезда не разрешен. Вай фай есть только на ресепшн. Номера не оснащены всем необходимым. Отсутствует шкаф, куда можно было бы поставить чемоданы, сумки, нет какого-нибудь столика, стула. То есть из мебели имеются только две прикроватные маленькие тумбочки, маленькая полочка под зеркалом при входе и встроенный миниатюрный шкаф, в который так же ничего не поставить, есть возможность повесить вещи, вешалки всего три. В потолке видимо когда то была люстра и сейчас от нее осталась дырка с изолированным проводом и так же имеются и другие дыры в стенах. Розетки расположены высоко и не возле кровати. Для того, чтобы зарядить гаджеты необходимо что-то подставить, чемодан или что-то в этом роде. Мыло и шампунь предоставили на следующий день после заселения. Полотенца за неделю поменяли один раз, за день до отъезда. С пепельницы, находящейся на балконе ни разу не выбросили мусор. На балконе была прикреплена одна проволока для развешивания белья, но можно было использовать только половину, так как в другой половине все время с верхнего этажа капало с кондиционера, пол, стул и всё, находящееся в этой половине всегда были мокрыми. Матрас видимо очень древний, не удобный и с буграми, простынь вся в катышках, очень неприятная на ощупь. Горячая вода в кране есть только днём в определенное время. Утром, вечером, ночью невозможно что-то постирать, или искупаться, вода в это время только холодная. Еда в ресторане вкусная, но количество блюд минимальное. Из сладкого каждый день были одни и те же пирожные, их ставили всего на один противень и разлетались в секунду, так как людей было много, разбирали все моментально. Приходя к открытию ресторана не всегда удавалось взять на пробу хотя бы одно пирожное. Нормальный аппарат с кофем был лишь один, второй выдавал либо чисто кофе без всяких добавок, либо одно молоко. Для чая не было ни чашек, ни стеклянных стаканов, были лишь одноразовые стаканчики. Бара при ресторане нет. Можно только самостоятельно наливать себе вино и пиво. А за коктейлями только на первый этаж. Бассейн грязный, поскольку рядом с ним расположены деревья, вся листва, весь мусор с деревьев плавает в бассейне, слив воды вокруг него отсутствует. Бар у бассейна как будто заброшен, там подают только пиво и то , только до 18:30. Проживающих в отеле много, однако, шезлонгов (целых) у бассейна минимальное количество. Расположиться на шезлонге у бассейна невозможно, так как они все заняты с самого утра, хотя отдыхающих там практически нет. Остальные шезлонги поломаны и не подлежат эксплуатации. Вечером на террасе первого этажа мужчину сильно стошнило. Персонал видел последствия и никто не соизволил убрать это до утра. Утром пришла уборщица и высохшую рыготину убрала. В общем второй раз бы в такой отель не приехала, вокруг было много отелей 3* , которые выглядели намного лучше и интереснее...
