23rd of July 2020 on the beach oasis vip club(Sunny beach, Bulgaria) my daughter Lara (23 months) was bitten by the dog (raceYork), which jumped from the sun lounger. The dog injured front area of my daughters leg. After medicine treatment by beach doctor, we showed the bill (65 euro) to the owner of the dog (Bulgarian resident), but the woman (owner) refused to accept this and said that german insurance can cover it and it’s not her problems. We informed her that in this way, we are going to call the police, because the dogs on the beach are strictly forbidden. After that she left the beach with the dog and in the next moment the woman, who was spending time with her, took all the beach clothes and followed the owner of the dog(see the photo). During searching the owner of the dog we asked the beach team and front desk clerk if the they can help us to find the owner. The hotel staff was absolutely unfriendly and refused to provide us any help, referring that this beach is private and they need no trouble. The lifeguard of the beach informed us that at this apartment hotel live very reach people and everyone is afraid to get some trouble with them. Police refused to arrive to us, because the woman already left the beach. After that happened, the beach team placed the sign “dogs are forbidden on the beach”. In the next 3-4 hours the woman with the dog came back to the beach, but occupied other sun lounger(see the photo). We called immediately to police, but here begins strange story...the policeman arrived already before our call and when my husband reached him, he was already informed about situation and already was on the owners of the dog side. My husband and policeman came to the woman and she started to tell lie that she was not in the morning on the beach and my daughter was bitten by other dog, just the dog looked like her and recommended to check video cameras. Strange recommendation, isn’t it? Seems like she has already negotiated with hotel staff and deleted unlikely videos. The translator between my husband and policeman was receptionist, that earlier refused to assist us. The policeman was very friendly to owner of the dog, said something about her beautiful swimming suit and said that the dog is good and can’t bite anyone. Interesting that the dog on the beach didn’t confuse the policeman, in spite of strictly prohibition of the dog on the beach and he had no interest to speak with witnesses, who saw the situation in the morning and could confirm that this is the right woman. Finally he made some protocol, which number he refused to give. Also the policeman didn’t present himself( no name, no rang) and took no testimony from my husband. He fixed only the information what the owner of the dog provided. Leaving the beach the lifeguard said: “ so happens in Bulgaria from time to time”. Meaning helpless and inaction of the police security...
Read moreMy stay was ruined by the unacceptable conduct of the hotel staff. I was quietly lying on my own towel on the sand, about 10 meters from the water — in the public area of the beach. Despite this, hotel employees approached me and rudely demanded I leave, claiming that “this part of the beach is rented and you’re not allowed to be here.” This is completely illegal.
Let me remind you: according to the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Act, all beaches are exclusive state property, and everyone has the right to free and unrestricted access to the beach, including rented zones — as long as no paid services (like sunbeds or umbrellas) are used.
The hotel staff clearly either don’t know the law or deliberately mislead tourists to force them off the beach unless they pay. This is not just poor service — it’s a blatant violation of visitors’ rights.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. If you value peace, respect, and lawful treatment —...
Read moreVery rude staff at the restaurant and the beverage service on the beach. Don't have the word please in their vocabulary, never heard of it. I wanted to go to the restroom and said I was a street thug so I was questioned, and was yelled at by a lady at the restaurant, that's saying too much lady, a restaurant employee. Same very rude staff serving drinks on the beach. This is when we paid for 2 sun loungers and umbrella for the whole day. Shame, the location is spoiled by people, staff, the place is very nice. Tourism was not invented by such employees, in fact such employees have no place in tourism services. 10 points, maximum, for the gentleman and his son in charge of the sun loungers, very kind,...
